What is the biggest blunder you made gambling?

We all have done stupid mistakes that cost us money here is mine...

I play Doey/Dont and make the sane bet every time. 2500 on the pass and 3000 on the dont. I'm at the Aria making my usual wagers holding my own. After 45 minutes I'm schmoozing with the floor manager who ive know and golfed with for several years not really paying attention. I'm picking up my money or putting down money not watching the rolls at all. All I care about is a 7 coming up. All of a sudden I see them taking away my my money on the pass line! I said what number came up? What just happened? They said the 2 came up I said so? I won 500! What happened? They stopped the game I said every bet is the same always ask John the floor mgr!-He said yes he does. The dealer said you didn't play that this time! I said what? There is no chance I didn't put money on the dont and only the do. He says yes you did. Table is crowded but I was wagering a lot more than anyone do they held up the game. And it was so busy the dealer could have made a mistake. I told them to call upstairs to see the video. I said if I made that mistake I quit because I won't play if I'm not focused and present. I also told the dealer he should have realized I made a different bet and told me!! He said he knew I made a different bet but just figured after 50 minutes of playing this way I changed my mind. Idiot. I was now even more pissed. They come over to me and say I'm sorry I and I forgot to put money on the dont and what made it worse is I put the dont bet on the pass line. Fuck! My fault but the dealer who I tip big should have said something. My bad. Picked up my chips and left with my tail between my legs. Thru away $3000 from making a STUPID mistake. I'm still hurting from that. I don't mind losing 25k ( I do of course but not this way) but losing from a STUPID mistake? I was/am really upset..

Have you ever made a blunder with gambling that cost you??? Or am I the only idiot in the world to do this?

Not betting max lines on a machine when almost outta $ then I have a damn awesome line hit that woulda paid great had I been playing usual bet. Done it too many times now I just cash out or put another $20 in or whatever it takes to make one last full bet.

Ouch!! Silly casino for not making it right! If they did, you likely would have continued playing for sometime possibly losing much more than a single bet!

It's the distractions so easily found on the casino floor....or eventually lack of sleep hindering rational thought!

One thing that happens to us while playing slots is we stick the Tito in the machine, hit max bet and a few spins later- we're out of money...then we realize it was a different denomination than we were expecting and were betting WAY more than we thought! Has happened more than once.

Now why don't we ever hit a bonus during THOSE spins?????

This was a weird one and instill don't know the ruling. I was playing here in Ontario and hammering the same 4 numbers on roulette (8 12 19 29) and had been losing. I move to another table toss 4 chips to the dealer while the ball is spinning (nowhere to stand beside table all chairs taken) Anyway there's lots of time so I tell him 8 12 19 29. he nods I walk away and turn around and 12! Only he put it on 15. I'm like wtf. my verbal should stand! Pit boss tells me I'm responsible for my own bet. after a long day of losing I was like f×ck that. They offered me a free buffet for my troubles. I walked

Many years ago, I was playing blackjack at NYNY and saw that the whole board was black so I bet on red. The pit boss told me I could only play one game at a time and said my bet was no good. Wouldn't you know it, it hit black again. I picked up my chips, laughed and walked away.

Taking my $800 TITO at Bellagio to what I thought was a dollar Davinci slot and not noticing it was a $5 slot and $100 a spin until I was on my 3rd spin!

At the time it was a Davinci outside of that darn HL room at Bellagio and someone had switched it to the $5 denomination when I was used to it being on the dollar. It was also around 3am and I was tired and on my way back to my room. Even a few years later I'm still trying to rationalize that mistake I made, LMAO!

LOL, that time on Davinci Diamonds it didn't even give me a little hit, but the time I made the mistake on $1 Texas Tea when they had it a few years ago in the Palazzo high limit room and I hit max on my first spin for a $99 bet instead of $9 I got the bonus on my first spin for a hand pay. I would love to repeat that mistake someday!

I have a couple - one being pretty well lit at the end of the night and tossing the dealers on the dice a purple chip. It didn't register until the next morning when I realized I was short one. Then it slowly came back to me. It made sense as to why they thanked me so profusely and why the pit asked if I was sure. This was on craps at my local and I always tip pretty well but it's always on the hardways or going all the way across for them and letting them rack up wins.

Another was being short rolled at craps. I'm a relatively aggressive bettor and hate to play if I don't have enough bullets in the rack to go hard when a hot roll develops. The blunder was I'd gone to my room for something and forgot to take money from the safe. I got back downstairs and was tired so I figured I'd play what was in my pocket and bounce. The shooter proceeded to roll for a half an hour. I still made a nice chunk but not near what I would have if I'd been fully racked up.

And finally - this is mainly from lack of experience in the game - playing craps at Orleans while waiting for a friend to check in. Super Bowl weekend and it was crowded. Two older fellas (stick right one and stick left one) rolled for an hour each. Back to back. They were good friends and it was amazing. But due to just learning the game and not knowing or trusting myself to press aggressively I didn't make anywhere near what I would today on some insane rolls like those. I DREAM of hopping on a table and having that happen again.

Ahhhh, THAT is a good one!! I do recall we did "blunder" like this but only once where we got a positive result. We were playing and were trying really hard to conserve our bets just to squeeze some time waiting to get to dinner. We were almost out of money and started low rolling. My sis hit the Max bet instead of spin by accident, I was about to start snarking at her when it hit the bonus. It was a penny machine so the number wasn't huge at all, but, it was a well timed mistaken hit we were really grateful for! So fun you did it on a Big bet! You must have been SO freaking excited heading into that bonus round- LOVE IT!!!!

I remember a blunder I did in a good way. I have left the group packer, pleepleus, and broncofn and was heading back to Caesar's but dropped my brother off at Aria since he was staying in my room there since i hate the Aria. I was playing at Caesar's and was playing $500 chips which are white there. Well I had a pocket full of Flags from Aria. 8 of them so was not thinking too much. I saw a big bank run and just started to bet them needless to say I won 5 chips and then lost the last and so I had 12 chips so I asked to pay the commission and the dealer said $1250....... I'm like WTF I only have 6 thousand and only won $2000 how do I owe $1250 in commission? The dealer and pit manager said NO sir you have $60,000 and you won $25,000 and just lost the last hand at $5000. so you owe $1250.

OH shit these are not $500 chips these are $5000 chips. I was betting flags and not purple. Keep in mind this was 3 or 4 am and i was running on no sleep. I was only betting a long bank run so just wanted to bet a few hands and ride the win streak.

This is why I color up to bigger chips so I don't make the mistake to just bet chips in my pocket.
