Elf you were killing it! Hope you bring some home. I have NEVER got a handpay on double diamonds at MB. I play that bank of machines and can usually get something out of pink diamonds, but double diamonds never. Glad someone can.

I know the machines you are talking about. I get good hits in that double diamond but never a hand pay. All my handpays have been in the double diamond in the HL room in the center of the floor. I've probably had 6 in the past year on that one. It's $25 or $50 a spin.

As long as you are having fun that's the most important thing, though of course we have a bit more fun when we return home a winner. Hope things turn around at Wynn. I already saw your great wins on Jokers and I just hope this coming trip I get some like yours!

Best meal of the trip. Allegro at Wynn. Brechetta (sp??) Appetizer, veal parm, and veal Marsella. Absolutely delicious!!

I'll post a trip summary later today. We did not have a winning trip but only had a very small loss so that's a win in my book. We also had a great time so that's a win! More later.

    Keeping it real:

Mlife – slot win of $600, table loss of $1800 for a total MLIfe loss of around $1200.

That includes a total slot win at Mandalay of $5400 and a slot loss at NYNY of $4500 and a table loss at NYNY of $2000. I guess I should continue to stay away from NYNY and continue to play at Mandalay!

I came home with enough cash to finance my next trip in June. I got tons of play for a $1200 loss. (About 50k coin in). Mlife still shows me about 8k ahead for the year since I had a nice winning trip in January.

Wynn – I had several good slot hits and got lots of play for my money. I played for several hours at pretty high limits and had a minimal loss. I took some pictures of some good slot hits but due to alcohol consumption they did turn out very well.

So all in all a lot of slotting for a small loss. Should I have come home with a win after hitting 3 handpays? Probably. But I'm there to play. The more I win the more I play. Maybe some day I'll have more discipline but I doubt it.

MLife for DH shows a table game loss of just over $1000. He says no way. By his calculations he lost $3500.

The highlight of the trip for me was dinner at Allegro. It was delicious and so nice to enjoy a great meal with DH. DH really enjoyed playing at Wynn and has agreed to consider coming back to LV with me on my August trip! That makes me happy. If he comes in August I'll strongly consider staying at Wynn instead of Mandalay. Good Lord I hope he doesn't want to stay at NYNY again! Love the dealers and pit bosses there – hate the slots and would like a different host.

I'm confused about my June trip. I had planned 5 days – 3 at Mandalay and 2 at Cosmo (for the first time). I'm strongly considering Wynn instead of Mandalay. I love Wynn but I'm on a winning streak at Mandalay. Maybe stay at Wynn and play a couple times at Mandalay?

Update- Just now I received an email from Wynn about a slot tourney starting on June 23 – the day I'm scheduled to arrive in LV. Maybe that's karma and I should stay at Wynn. Decisions, decisions.

Interesting note: we were at Cosmo Saturday morning around 10am. I was walking around the casino checking out the slot selection. I saw several “homeless type” individuals parked at slot machines. One lady was even calling out to people walking by. Another group was organizing all there possessions and had stuff on the ground in a pretty large area (inside the casino!). I thought to myself – where am I? Downtown Vegas? I was really surprised that Cosmo lets this happen. (To be fair – security could have arrive 30 seconds after I left and handled the situation.) It did concern me a bit because I usually travel solo and always slot early in the morning. Makes me a bit nervous about my June trip to Cosmo. Of course I can always skip my morning slotting session and enjoy breakfast on my balcony!

That’s all I have. Thanks for following along. Good luck everyone!

Nice coin in for 1200. My last several trips (before the ugly April 1st one) were similar.

I'll be at cosmo same time in june. I don't recall ever seeing homeless looking folks in cosmo, that's interesting! I'm sure they took care of it quickly. I haven't had any concerns being there alone.

I'm glad to here that you've been comfortable being there alone. Thanks for letting me know that. I'm very excited about staying there. I loved the slot selection and can't wait to play there.

I'm a bit surprised to hear about that Cosmo story. Hell when I'm there, I sometimes worry they will kick me out for wearing jeans and shirts like this one I am wearing today.

They never have, probably because I do sparingly gamble, but I feel more underdressed at cosmo than anywhere else on the Strip!
