2nd Live TR at the Luxor Pyramid ft. Vdara: 12/7 - 12/11

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is doing well.

About a week before I left on my last TR on 11/12 - 11/19, I received an e-mail from Luxor about their Snowy Night Slot Tournament. It is a $25,000 Slot Tournament with the top prize of $5,000 FP and a minimum prize of $100 FP. Since I'm usually a mid-to-low roller for slotting, this is actually a decent deal for me. The only question I had was whether I wanted to go after such a long trip last time. But things worked out and we're going again (so excited!). This time it's only my mother and I on this trip.

I will be there 3 nights at the Luxor (comped), hopefully updating this TR as much as possible. This is the 3rd time I've stayed Luxor and I'm going to try to get a new Tower Premium Room that they newly remodeled. I'm going to go easy this trip and hopefully things go well. But maybe there will be a surprise or two on this trip? It will depend on how things go and how I feel during the trip. Probably lots of Country songs (lol) but I'm personally fine with Country music, I don't love it or hate it.

Just finished packing and getting ready to go. M is my first stop. Hopefully it will be good there today.

So we spent 3-1/2 hours on the road. Not too bad so far, the drive was typical long winding roads and stuff. We arrived at M resort and headed to the Studio B buffet. Buffet was no line which I was surprised because this buffet is really long most of the time we get there. There were some people in the buffet but not too bad.

The food at the buffet was good. I really liked the kimchi, desserts, and pho. It is a decent deal for only $17 per person on weekdays.

Afterwards I played my $7 OF FP but only got $2 from Bull Elephant. Went onto Cheshire Cat and got the bonus after some game lay and hit a 2 array with 3 wild reels combination. Turned into a nice bonus. I stopped after that because it took so long to get the bonus.

After we left M we drove to Luxor to check-in. The self parking entrance to the casino was blocked so we had to go the long route. Check in was fast. In terms of complimentary upgrades she said she could do $15/night for the Premium Tower Rooms and I took it because I wanted to see how much renovations were done.

The renovated rooms are much nicer now and updated from what they were. I'm actually beginning to like Luxor again. The room was a little dark but the room was clean and nicely decorated. The only negative of the room was the bathrooms didn't look too changed.

Afterwards, I checked into the tournament, my times are 2 p.m. and 11 a.m. for the two rounds on Friday and Saturday. We'll see how I do to tomorrow. They are the same machines used for the Daily Slot Tournament lol.



I played some Vampire's Embrace and hit two decent bonuses on 20 cents.

 

Afterwards we rested for a hour, we then headed to MB, NYNY, Cosmopolitan and Aria

No hits at NYNY but lots of decent hits so far. Came back to Luxor, played Vampire the rest of the night two really good bonuses.



Was doing okay for most of the day, up about 20-40 right now. Good start to the trip. Time for my beauty rest lol.

 

Just got up today, going to have Aria Buffet soon! Yay.
