Comped rooms question ?

Hi where did you stay/play? Were you there on a comp? How much and how many hours did you gamble?

Edited - saw your trip post that you stayed at the Cosmo. That’s where I stay. I always get offers a couple weeks after I’m back, three weeks at the most. They come in Tuesdays. Could it be that you didn’t gamble enough to get an offer? If you don’t get anything tomorrow you should call. Do you have a host?

 

I see my offers/comps online by logging into my player’s card accounts at totalrewards.com and mlife.com. Most of my offers are not mailed or even emailed anymore.

 

Cosmo is pretty good about getting an offer out via email right after a trip. I usually have one within about a week to 10 days. And then they send out a new one about every 8 weeks with updated expiration dates.

Their reservations agents can see if you have an offer. If you want to book for March, I'd call and see what they say.

 

I didn't have an,offer once and they called down spoke to host and got 1 night upfront. Cosmo reservation line is so great!

 

I never get any mailed offers from them but almost always have a freeplay offer and a separate room offer in my email.
They do sent them within days after visiting too.

Not to hijack the thread but anyone know the situation with resort fees on a comped room at cosmo? My offers say plus resort fee in fine print but I wasn’t sure if they are like CET where a certain card status waives them or if the offer may say no resort fee. I saw others here saying they have to ask their hosts to comp them off at the end.

FWIW, I've always had waived resort fees on my comped rooms at Cosmo. I don't have a host and didn't have Gold until recently.

 

Were you able to just ask at checkout?
I’m almost sterling there only but I have never given them a full day of play yet since I have always just stayed somewhere else and played there for a couple of hours only. Im planning on using one of my comp room offers soon and I’ll give them from decent play but doubt I’ll hit gold in just that trip. Was trying to figure if my level will get those waived at least. Thanks!

 

Whenever I have called in to make the reservation, they've confirmed that the offer also waives the resort fee.

Based on what I've found online, it seems like many, but not all, offers comp the resort fee.

My first offer at Cosmo was for 2 nights plus a little Identity play, but even that low-rolling offer had the resort fee waived. Paid for a 3rd that trip which ended up getting comped. Have consistently been receiving 4 night offers since then.

 

It is offer dependent. Sometimes it is included in the offer, sometimes it is not. I've had it both ways.

 

Never had to pay a resort fee at Cosmo and the question of resort fees was never even mentioned. I wouldn’t worry about it if your room is a comp.

 

My friend is at Cosmo now and was charged a resort fee on comped room.

 

Before I got to Gold I always had to pay the resort fee.

I thought the offers indicate whether or not a comp room is subject to a resort fee. If any question, call and ask.

 

They do, I am gold and my offer still said "subject to resort fee"

Some offers they are comped some are not. Gold and up, no resort fee at all. No matter what.
