You're welcome. Thank you. That STP machine was what I was looking for but probably wouldn't have thought to check HL room if you and @tringlomane hadn't pointed me there.

I love the fella who plays Dean! We batted eyelashes at the usher when we went and he sat us at the VIP table right at the front & middle of stage. They came over & sang to us the entire show and ended up with great table service as well. I would definitely go again. Loved the old school lounge feel

That is cool how they do that! Dean picked out a couple of ladies up front and flirted with them throughout the show. It was all good fun and laughs. The bartender told me there was a special guest at this show. A theme of the show was that they were celebrating Frank's birthday. A woman dressed up as a playboy bunny came up on stage with them. At one pint, she picked a guy in the crowd, sat on his lap, played with his hair and glasses and sang him happy birthday "Marilyn Monroe" style. Don't know if the show is the same every time, but I'm guessing they change it up once in a while. I'd go see it again too.

    recap....

Thank you for reading and for the good luck comments. These forums are truly a great place for like minded people to share and talk about this stuff.

I wish I started off my TR here differently. I started it off on a negative note with the flight delays. It put me in a negative state of mind, and most readers I'm sure don't want to start off reading a TR that's whiny. Every time I've made a solo trip to Vegas in the last 3 years, there has been flight delays, up to 2 1/2 hours. If I'm with a friend or my wife no delays. I guess I need to bring someone more often.

    Luxor room:
As I probably said earlier this was the first time I ever stepped inside of Luxor. I wanted to experience the Pyramid. The Cleo room was fresh and clean. The carpet still looked really new. When I checked in, I asked for a high floor looking toward Excalibur. She said my choices were looking west over the pool or south toward Mandalay Bay. I was in room 19020 with the MB view. The room was very quiet. I couldn't hear anything from the rooms around me or echoes from the casino downstairs. The only thing I could hear from outside was a couple of faint sirens and the faint sound of planes taking off. There were lots of lamps in the room which kept the room well lit. The dark exterior glass blocks out a lot of light, but not the heat. I'm guessing those rooms can get a bit warm during the hot summer. I'm not an engineer, but constructing that hotel, especially the elevators must have been something. My late Dad's career was as an elevator/escalator repairman. I would have liked to get his opinion on Luxor. When I checked out, the front desk was able to apply my Express Comp Dollars toward room charges. Almost every staff member I dealt with was friendly and professional. The only exception was an old ass bartender at Centra Bar who seemed generally annoyed by people.

    Flamingo room:
I've never stayed at Flamingo and the last time I walked through the casino there was in the mid 1990s. At the last minute I booked a Fab Room at Flamingo for Friday night, $20 +resort fee because after walking half way up the Strip, I wanted a room to relax in and change before the show at Tuscany. Fab Room 5009. The hard laminate floor in the room took me by surprise. It was dated but everything functioned. Lots of exterior noise mostly from neighboring rooms through the thin walls. When I checked out at about 1 AM, the front desk said they couldn't apply my TR Credits for an unknown reason. They made a note not to check me out and have a host call me in the morning. The host fixed whatever the problem was and used my Reward Credits to cover the resort fees and whatever I had charged to the room.

    Show:
The Rat Pack Is Back. Loved it and would go again. The 7 piece band moves to the Tuscany Hotel Lounge on Friday nights. Would be nice to hang out with friends over drinks and listen to them.

    Comps & Coupons:
My Mlife offer was up to 4 free nights at Luxor, in a Pyramid, Cleo or Tower room, with $50 food, I play resort fees. I used MyVegas for $50 free play, a free shot and $20 off at Public House when I spend $40 or more. I have an ACG book and fully intended to use some of it at Tuscany & Ellis Island, but I forgot to bring it with my when I walked north. My VP play Friday night earned me a free steak dinner & beer at EI...it doesn't take much.

    Gambling:
As you can tell, I'm not a big spender at gambling. Penny slots usually under $1.50 per spin. Triple play 25 cent VP and $1 single line is as big as it gets for me. Maybe some table games with $5 minimums. The Super Times Pay BP quad 3's at 10x was the win of the trip following by the Sharks game. One of the Wonka Oompa Loompa wins would have been a lot more special if that 4th reel (I think it was the 4th reel) was filled with premium characters with all the other reels Wild and fully extended to the top of the screen. As far as $1 slots, I had two sessions at Top Dollar, one was plus $30 and the other was -$100. I ended up -$500 for gambling overall.

    Food:
Tacos & Tequila at Luxor. Not impressed. Steak nachos had no flavor. Strawberry margarita was weak.
Public House at Luxor. Nice sports bar/grill atmosphere with lots of TVs. Filet sliders and Cobb salad were both good. Jack & Diets were good as well as the Bloody Mary. Also had a few Happy Hour Beam & Diets at the Public House bar.
Carlos & Charlie's at Flamingo. Steak tostada salad was great. Lime margaritas were great.
Village Cafe at Ellis Island. Steak dinner special was 10 ounce Sirloin which was very good. It came with green beans, baked potato and salad. It was like a steak dinner at your local cafe.
Camelot Steakhouse Excalibur. I had a reservation for Saturday night but cancelled it so I could go to Skyfall Lounge to get turned away because of a private event and also to see an angry guy vandalize at ATM at MB. Usually I do one steakhouse dinner per trip, but just didn't happen this trip.
Starbucks at Luxor. Amazing turkey & pesto panini for a drunk guy at 3 AM.

    Transportation:
My Nikes and Lyft. They both worked well.

    Next Trip:
Another solo trip on Veteran's Day weekend in November. Not sure where yet. Downtown is more my speed when solo, but I love the Strip too. If I stay on the Strip, it'll probably be at Flamingo, Bally's or Linq and wander mid and north strip locals.

Thanks for the trip report and recap. Sounds like you had an enjoyable trip and losing only $500 is pretty good.
