Righty - WSOP (maybe), Blackjack (yes), Degeneracy (absolutely!) - Cosmo 6/5/18 to 6/9/18

Well, kind of a last minute trip. My wife has a conference in Vegas this week, and the grandparents were more than willing to watch the little one, so time for a trip!

Will most likely be poker-focused until my wife is done Thursday afternoon. Having convinced her to love blackjack as much as I do, that will be the plan Thursday on. Prime and Mizumi on the schedule as well.

I’ve come out for the World Series since 2006. Given my limited timeline, hesitant to get stuck in a 3 day tournament, so will mostly play cash games. 80/160 limit is my game of choice, but will play 5/10 or 10/20 NL if the games are good. May come back for the WSOP Main Event, if my work schedule permits.

Staying in a wraparound suite at Cosmo for the duration. Favorite Vegas room, by far.

Might as well start off right. Land around midnight PST, so need to figure out if this pace is sustainable.

Never gets old

 

Got in fairly late and decided to call it a night. First good decision I’ve made in Vegas in about 8 years. Got a solid 4 hours of sleep (full night by Vegas standards)

Made it to Bellagio for some 80/160 limit. These morning games are typically good, with most people on the tail end of long sessions.

And we’re off!

 

That was quick. One bad thing about early games is that they tend to break. Had a good hour or so at least!

 

Haha. Glad that wasn’t the case! I prefer limit games, but there are very few higher stakes options for straight Holdem. I play NL and PLO as well, but trying to take advantage of the games while I’m here!

Ran pretty well at the beginning, then went ice cold and got stuck about $8k. Turned it around and booked a couple k profit. Crazy swings in this game, so you have to enjoy variance!!

 

Yeah, bought in for that and cashed out a bit more. 14 hour session, which I haven’t done in awhile!!

 

So had an interesting event at blackjack. Playing in the HL room $200 min, 2 hands. For doubles I would alternate between up and down, no big deal. And when I would have 400-500 bets out I would sometimes ask for purples.
Dealer went off and told me that he’ll decide how to pay and that I can’t keep switching for double downs. Floor didn’t hear him, but I did explain that his tone was pretty unacceptable.

Guess he was having a bad day, so cashed out up $4k and went to 3 card.

Good karma, cause I hit this!!
