    She remembers the Dayton mall, and she does know Lebanon. She told me "South of Dayton" and they traveled there for her brother's hockey.

    Hey Nick... haven't been following as closely as usual - Tapatalk and I get along just enough for me to figure out how to post - hoping your weather remains calm and with low impacts to you and all... Florence seems to have overshadowed and I haven't heard much about yours... Will be looking forward to your always interesting TR once you successfully get away.

    safe driving looks like we are in for some rain and best of luck across the border. I have not traveled to LC, I've been know to make it to Shreveport occasionally though.

    As well she should have. At this point it doesn't look like invest 95L is even going to be a worry, just a rain event for South Texas and Northern Mexico.

    Houston is just keyed up still over Harvey. Probably rightly so.

    We can't wait to get on the road tomorrow. Probably around 4PM CDT. Mrs P has to work tomorrow so she's packing now. I've got everything ready, just need to throw it in my bag tomorrow.

    Taking the hooligans to puppy camp in the morning, then grocery store, bank and wait for Mrs P to get home.

    Probably fit in Vegas Vacation while waiting.

    Two pretty good casinos there, and one sawdust joint.

    We try. Gotta get out of this mess called Houston. And there's always one week of the college football season where sitting with the three Tv's on just doesn't sound fun.

    Sorry to high jack - but has anyone Ever been to the L'Auberge in Baton Rouge? Assuming it would be similar to the one in LC, but never been to LC. Heading to Baton Rouge in November and just booked a room for a few nights - comped which was a nice surprise - just curious what you think of L'Auberge as a whole?

    Forgot to add that I will also be staying one night at Harrah's in New Orleans. My youngest daughter is a new freshman at LSU, so planning on visiting both places more often....

    I like L'Auberge Lake Charles but I've never been to the one in Baton Rouge. I would assume they're similar though. Very Mountain lodge feel, good casino, decent array of games, not the best high limit area but friendly customer service.

    If you get the chance, attend a night game at Death Valley. Fans have been drinking all day.

    One of the better experiences in college football.
