$750 points for $1500 bonus?

Had dinner with some fellow fanatics shortly after this email hit. We all had a good laugh about the goals that had been set for us, especially considering the proportionately modest FP numbers for increasing our play THAT much. KS, I truly appreciate your ingenuity in finding ways to engage us and make us want to play more at Cosmo. You’ve come up with some really compelling promos in the past year alone. Can’t speak for others, but for me this one isn’t persuasive at all.

 

Looking at the numbers in isolation, I agree with that assessment, but aren't these offers from cosmo usually "stackable"? That is, if the same points also counted towards the scratch off key card promotion, plus you get to keep the points, those add up to a pretty good rate of free play return relative to coin in (really good compared to casinos of cosmos quality).

I didn't get this offer and I assume it's because I play video poker and they don't want someone doing the above and grinding their edge (again, already as good as you'll find on the strip) down to a tiny fraction of a percent. Seems fair to me...

 

They are stackable. You keep the points from the keys, and the free slot tournaments they are offering. Also unlike most places it Isn't tcs it is true points with the multiplier added in!

While I know I probably won't hit my number [unless I have extra trips and variance is on my side!] Cosmo does have some of the better promos on the strip and they are attainable to any level of player

 

This is enjoyable dialogue! There are some very astute comments on here on how the promotion itself works.

Ultimately, I know that nearly all of our players also play at multiple other locations. And if I can create just another incentive that gives you a reason to give me more of your gaming activity than my neighbors, that's what I'm trying to do. Is it possible the "goals" were too high, perhaps. But I also expect there will be hundreds of guests who only have to give me one extra trip to reach their goal and hit their purely extra freeplay bonus. As already indicated... you don't lose anything if you don't reach the goal, you just don't get to add this extra promotional layer on top of everything else we already do.

The slot machines, by and large, that you play at my casino are the same as everyone else's (although I think I keep my floor fresher with content than the rest) - but if there are continuous reasons to play at Cosmopolitan than the other guys... I'm doing my job.

I received the email, and my "target goal" is wayyy more than what I did last year (I AM only Sterling but I play more single-line VP than I do slots). With only two trips planned this year, I doubt I will hit my number either. I'll be happy though if I can at least hit Gold, so that is my personal target.

 

I'm sure you know but in case you don't resort spend counts towards tier progression. So if you are close before you leave treat yourself to a nice meal or buy yourself something.

 

Curious if anyone has hit their goal. Pretty sure I'm done Vegas for the year, it would have to be a big deal to get to go again. Sigh.
Mine was $750 for 150,000 points. I think I'm in the 60,000 range. Not even close and my coin in is up about 10,000 from last year. I tried though hahaha.

 

I'm curious how many people even remember this promo... I forgot all about it until a couple days ago when I was going through old Cosmo emails. My goal was 500,000 points and I'm so far from that it's not even funny.

 

I hit my goal earlier this year which was as small as anyone’s ($750 for 150k) and I’ve given Cosmo all of my Vegas play this year. Even with my Cosmo play more than tripling the previous year, my offers have barely gone up. As much as I love Cosmo, I think I’ll be branching out a lot more in 2019.

 

Did you go on 3 times the number of trips? Or 3 times the play on each trip? There's a very big difference between the two.

 

I was going off the coin in stats now available on their website. I’ve more than tripled my coin in from last year, probably on at least double the visits. To the point of this topic, the promo def got me going and working to win the bonus!

It’s easy to see that my personal luck was worse this year on more visits than the previous years going back to 2011. I appreciate them giving us access to this info. Prior to my trip last weekend my payback was an abysmal 87%. Luckily, this past weekends two night trip improved the figure closer to 89%. I was never lower than 90% in the previous years!

Beyond that, if I get a NYE offer this year it will all have been worth it. I’m crossing my fingers! I know I already have a comped room but am hoping for the package. That was a big reason why I gave Cosmo all of my play this year.

 

My Husband and I have hit this goal. 200,000 for $1000 freeplay. I hope for the New Year Invite!!
