Which flight time would you choose?

  1. Saturday afternoon leaving at 5:00PM, arriving at 12:25AM next day?

I don't get the question. Sleep... who sleeps in Vegas.

I am sure at some point I will need to slow down but not yet. Lol

They other stuff mentioned doesn't really help me sleep if I am not ready to sleep but maybe I just need more.

I will be flying to Beijing from Hong Kong on the 1st April, only to fly through Hong Kong to get to LAX the next day, and then wait for the flight to LV. So, 4 flights in 31 hours and 46 hours total trip to get to Vegas. I’m being hard on myself because HK to LAX costs 3x more than Beijing to LAX (via HK)...frequent flyers trick to fly from a hub that’s basically price supported by the airline. My time is basically governed by the airfare. So I will arrive in Vegas at 10pm. Sucks. But I’ll still play until at least 4am....

What’s good to note about your original question is that your comped room is calculated on each days play, so a late arrival doesn’t negate expected table time by the host. At least, that’s what I’ve been told.

Booked 9 nights in Vegas for October. Got a 8:00 AM SW Flight arriving 9:30 AM and leaving at 7:55 PM arriving 9:20 PM to San Jose CA. No recovery time needed and I gain two extra days as I plan to be at SJ airport by 5:45 AM and LAS by 5:40 PM if no airline lounges are open.

Only fly direct and the first is always around 6:30 am. That is a non-starter with my wife! Usually end up around noon and get in by 3:00 and that works great. If I was going by myself it would always be the earliest non stop (but that hasn't happened in years).

I booked an 8:00 AM out if San Jose CA arriving Vegas ar 9:25 AM and leaving 9 days later at 7:55 PM arriving at 9:20 PM . So essentially I have an extra day free. May be worth paying the $30 late checkout fee.

Early flights from Vegas suck. I just don't have it in me to go to bed at any reasonable hour when I am there. I get a late(4-5PM) check out and fly home late afternoon or early evening depending on available times.

I always fly out of Vegas in the early morning 5:30am-6:30am.
I actually like it that way. Not very busy that time and flights are usually on time for their first leg of the day.
Of course I don't sleep the last night at all, and start preparing for leaving around 4am.
Once I board the aircraft, I fall to sleep until it lands.

You got that right when it comes to the Admiral at home. She reminded me of that often when I was on active duty in the Navy.

I’ll fly in early from Florida and arrive around noon. On the return flight I like to leave around noon. I’ve been doing this for years and it works out pretty well. If it ever comes down to flying out of Vegas in the late afternoon or catching the red eye I’ll always opt for the red eye and pay for the room for that day.
