im not sure if this is the correct group to discuss this recently I have been seeing my identity benefits getting less and less. I have been a loyal visitor to Cosmo for the last few years, eating in the restaurants, playing the slots and at first I was getting good comps such as free play and dining credit alongside comped rooms.
I still receive the comped rooms ( normally 4 nights) but have seen the free play and dining credit reduce to zero.
I have worked hard to achieve gold status and coming from the U.K. I need to visit four or five times a year to just about keep this status up. I feel as though I gamble the same amount every trip so just wondered if anybody else has seen this reduction in comps. I have my next trip booked for mid August as I need 4000 point before 8/24 to keep up my gold status. Just hoping the slots are kind.

Yes, there is another thread going where many others have noticed a sudden drop in the FP / FB amounts with no obvious reason why, other than to boost the bottom lines for a potential sale sooner than later.

Mine have been pretty consistent over the past year or so. Compared to say 3 or 4 years, it’s a little tighter. But the casino is also doing a lot better namely making a profit so perhaps they need less to entice players as they’ve got plenty for now.

FYI the below answer I got from my host recently when booking in for a stay:

Our offers were recently updated to calculate in how much the suite type costs the hotel, before this was not the case, which is why your identity play has gone down.

Thank you for sharing that. I had always presumed that was taken into account since I’d always get terrace one bedroom or studio while bigger players would get wrap around and such.

I don't know what that message from the host means.

The casino pays for your hotel room when you stay on an offer. A discounted rate.

If your host is trying to say that the casino now has to pay the full retail rate for a hotel room, I could be wrong, but I have doubts. Whatever he/she was trying to say, it got mangled.

It does make sense that if the average retail room rate has gone up, then the casino's cost goes up too, and if they want to offer you the same dollar amount of comps based on theo, then they have to shave things somewhere - either fewer nights, or lower throw-ins.

I just stayed 10 nights, did my normal average daily coin-in, and my new offer is for the same room type as usual, with an extra $50 in FP and an extra $100 in dining credit compared to my usual 4 or 6 night stay. I attribute the bump in the throw-ins to the longer stay, but note that my daily average play did not increase. I did 10 nights' play in 10 nights in one trip instead of spreading it over two trips.

My offers are for 4 nights in a One Bedroom. The difference between what I think is probably the casino rate and the full retail rate is about $80/night. 4 x $80 would wipe out pretty much all of my throw-ins, but they didn't.

I would say that Cosmo seems to calculate their offers, especially the throw-ins, differently than CET and MLife, but I can't really pin it down.

    Thanks for that reply.
It does explain the reason behind it.
