    Greetings fellow Vegas fanatics!

First thread here... If I am posting in the wrong forum, please let me know and I will delete.

I tried searching before posting and didn't see anything specific...

Over the last year I have stayed 2/3 trips at The Cosmopolitan. I am currently about 3k points shy of Gold status. I will be ordering a gift card for my wife later today and that should put me into Gold.

My question is, how in the world do I sign up for the mail offers (not email offers) that I hear others talking about? I have searched the Cosmopolitan page and asked my booking agent but neither had an answer for me.

I would love to give The Cosmopolitan 100% of my bookings but MLife offers and CET local offers (Cherokee) keep managing to pull me back in. lol Both of them send me "old fashion" physical mail offers.

I appreciate any pointers. Everyone here seems much more experienced than myself when it comes to status, etc.

    Thanks,

    Daniel

There's nothing to sign up for, anytime I get an offer on the website I generally receive the traditional paper copy within a week or two, not just tournaments and special events, but mailers for the standard 4 free nights etc type stuff too

Do they have your right address? https://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/identity/profile My mailers are exactly the same offers I get in my email and show up on the website. The mail is just way slower, but I am still always excited when I get them haha. They have always come after I signed up for Identity, there shouldn't be anything to do.

Call the Identity number or go to the desk when you're there.

I've never gotten email or regular mail from them despite playing some there on all my trips. I didn't expect huge offers but was always surprised I never got any promotional material.

During my September trip I won a handpay there so I asked the attendant to check and I was no mailed as my address was way wrong. Should've had him check my email too as when I got home and tried to sign up for identity online it ends up the email they have is completely garbled. So I have to call and get that fixed. Judging from the email that's in there it's like the original person that signed me up didn't really pay attention. Which is unfortunate because I'm sure I've missed out on a lot of bounceback free play over the years.

Thank you for the info! I will stop by the Identity desk on my next trip to make sure everything is correct.

I think I may also need to spend a bit more in the casino. Right now my W/L shows around 2k Coin-in. Most of my spend is resort spend. I plan to play through around 2.5k in January. Hopefully that will help earn some type of offer. lol

I did hit Gold on Friday though! I bought my wife a gift card and it was enough to tier up.

2k coin in. Honestly that won’t get you anything more than discounted rooms and maybe a small free play offer.

That's not necessarily true though. I've walked into a casino with $1k before and ended up doing north of $15k for coin in. Depends on how the machines are treating you and if you're willing to keep playing with what you've won.

Yup this... Or it could go south like my last trip there as well... All depends if variance is on your side.

$2k coin in is different from $2k bankroll. The poster said $2k coin in which even on penny slots is about $200 theoretical loss. Yes with a $2k bankroll you should be able to cycle it a couple times and with a little luck go on a run like you mention. Coin-in != bankroll

On my January trip I will have a 2k bankroll. Hopefully that will add to my history. Sorry for not specifying earlier but the 2k spent previously was total coin in from my W/L statement. Tbh, I don’t recall what my starting bank was. I spent most on our room.

We wanted that iconic Cosmopolitan fountain view.

How does that look in the eye of the casino? If I spend maybe $800-$1k one trip and $2-3k the next? I usually visit once a quarter.

I really appreciate all this input!

I don’t expect anything free but at the same time I want to make sure I’m taking advantage of any offers I can get.

One more thing... to your point Goldenknight, I usually budget x for hotel, food, etc and x for gambling. If I allocate $1k or 10k for gambling I will play until it’s either $0 or I can finally buy my private island. Lol

    Go big or go home!

I figured you meant bankroll, targeted coin in would be a really odd way to measure your play unless it was just like "hey let's stop at Caesars because i need 1,500 points to get Diamond" situation

This ain’t no damn ho’ house.
Not really..I used to play very specific amounts (coin-in) when I knew exactly what was needed for top mailers.
Of course this was before BigData and they only put a number in a system and when you hit number you qualified for the top offer.

fwiw; if you’re only doing $1000 coin-in..I doubt Cosmo will even send you a teaser...if it was all slots, let’s say that’s $100 to them (Theo) and they’ll give you back 30% ($30)...which is about enough for a sammich there..
