I got assigned a CET host very recently, who only does the minimum bookings for me when I ask, and doesn't help with booking outside of her corner of vegas at all. How do I go about asking for a different host?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have an executive host, or do you have a casino account executive (which I usually call "junior host")?

I have a VIP Host, not exactly sure what this means. I'm new to the host/player game.

According to Road Gambler's criteria this host isn't worth time.

That is an excellent post from Road Gambler. The advice is sound.

(This will mostly be advice for other readers who are not sure if their "host" with CET is an executive host.) If you got an introductory email from your host that looked like a very impersonal form letter, and/or your host's voice mail messages to you often sound like they were readings from a script, then you probably have a casino account executive (and look for that exact phrase in your correspondence) who can pretty much only book rooms and offers for you (and maybe get you booked into the higher-demand offers like NYE or Super Bowl a bit early; or at absolute best maybe once a year, invite you to a smaller invite-only event that will not show up in your regular offers). Also, CET casino account executives only work Monday through Friday, during typical business hours; a real host will typically work more during the hours and on the days when their players are most likely on-property.

I came over to CET from Wynn about a year ago, and am a Diamond player, and this was confusing to me when I came over to CET. I love Cromwell and usually do most of my play there and last time I was approached by a host... We got a long great, had good rapport, and she was able to comp the charges I'd put on my room based on my play.

A week after I got home, I got an email that was very boiler plate, from a different person, saying they were my casino executive, and I could go through them to book stays, dinners, et cetera. I was really confused. I emailed the person back, asking how all of this worked, but haven't heard back.

I looked around on this forum and found that the person that emailed me is more casino sales, and can't really work with me the way a host does. They basically help you book offers that you can already book on the app.

Thanks for the info JulianC, looks like I did in fact only get assigned an account executive. Darn; I thought I had made it.

this explains why they seem so unhelpful and inflexible on comps.

if anyone has tips on how to get a permanent host I’m all ears.

    Hi mistytalon,
I was introduced to a host from a friend this year when I status matched from mlife. He has been very helpful. I was given an introductory offer in July as good faith and he then can see my play level (not a high roller here but my play is consistent). He has been helping me with my reservations two times since July and I have been happy with what he can offer me. Let me know if you'd like me to connect you with him.

Exactly, they are casino sales, can’t do any more than you can with an on-line book or DIA call; and, twice, have found, at check in, my offer/reservations were messed up using these casino sales host services.
I really do not reach out to my assigned person anymore at all. (Have also asked in-casino CET meet-and-greet, back-end comps hosts to take the account, but 1. I assume not high enough DAI player and 2. They can’t, once the account is assigned to the sales farm. )

If your play at CET reached that level, you will likely get one.
For vast majority of middle range players, consider you are very lucky if you get some hosts who can do more than you could do yourself.

Yep, you have a Casino Marketing "host", not an actual Executive Host. They can probably give you a slight room upgrade sometimes, especially if you are flexible with what property you are willing to stay at in Vegas.

If you're going to try to educate yourself concerning comps, there are better ways to do it than this Road Gambler guy. There's some decent info there, but also a lot of "red flags' and things that don't add up with what he claims about himself.

Interesting. I just looked at my host last email and is says “ Executive Casino Sales”. 2 years ago she scolded me for not going through her for my room in vegas!

That happened to me 2 summers ago :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:. This was after I got a nicer room on my own.

My last " Executive Host" was laid off. I received a new email from someone different and their title is
    VIP Caesars Executive Contact.
