19 TITOs, wow and I do not mean ticket in ticket out! Why would they think you were cheating on VP? I would have said, you are accusing me of cheating on VP and how is that possible? Love the pictures!

Yeah that was what I said, the dude was TOTALLY taking a shot at a quick grab off a newbie I guess?!?!?! He mumbled something about working in Germany and dealing with lots of teams of cheaters. I reiterated how I was playing on a players card, drinking heavily, tipping heavily, and barely won anything. He didn't press it and I saw an opportunity to keep myself out of the casino the rest of the week so just went with that. I expected to lose about $10k over 11 nights spread between St. Maarten and Baha Mar, so to come out about that far ahead is a really nice flip to be honest. I'm MUCH more excited going into Vegas, feeling like its a free roll--trip is a quickish hitter, only 2 nights, but the longest possible 2-nighter arriving at 10am and leaving on a red-eye. Borat and Alexanbo also in early so we should be in REALLY rough shape by the time the girls arrive from New York around midnight. Or on our second wind!! :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Part of the challenge with Baha Mar is the hotels are charging the casino rack rate. Not uncommon for it to be 2x what you can actually book room for via hotel sites. Not to mention they tend to comp on lower of loss or theo / winning trips even less. I consistently get 20% of loss or fuck all on backend. But I’ve never been charged back on upfront comps even if play was lower.

They were really aggressive on promos a couple years ago and they’ve dialed it back a lot unfortunately. Atlantis has gone in other direction and my mailers are the best they’ve ever been, but I enjoy Baha Mar dealers / vibe much more. They’ve still got lots of room to improve for sure.

That makes a lot of sense, I got the impression by how they logistically handle the comps that it’s a hard comp to them. My room was on points this trip so all I had was some of their bullshit fees, food, bev, tips. They just took off a bunch of food/bev. I’ve gone twice and won pretty big so obv enjoyed my trips there. Totally agree casino has a great crowd/vibe.

I actually don’t at all mind the prices, it seems normal to me even after VAT/Service charge/Tip compared to drinks in Vegas or New York. Plus drinking mostly free at casino. I did find it annoying they were out of comp vodka and only offered full price options. . And didn’t clean my room. And didn’t apply my late checkout which I requested twice, and couldn’t give me my Hyatt status upgrade or club access benefits.

I would def choose Baha Mar over a St Maarten trip. But prob not over a summer Vegas trip.

Yay, a Beejay trip report! Beautiful photos and entertaining stories so far -- and thank you for the family pic. Your kids are so grown up now! I remember (back on other boards) when the little one was back in the preschool range....

    Thanks!

Decided to add a quick side-trip with the little guy next weekend with some of the Baha Mar profits, I’ll try to post some pics from that here as well!

This is the mini-sports-tour I’m taking the little guy on next weekend...when the Texans were ahead of KC 24-0 we started thinking maybe we could go to that game and catch a Rockets game (big fans) if they were in town, turns out they were playing the Lakers Sat night so a no-brainer. Of course after KC scores 51 points there is no football game in Houston and it’s way too cold in Kansas City so San Fran was the next best option!

Super fun weekend trip to Rockets-Lakers and 49ers-Packers games!

It was a lot of flying and feels like I just got back from a long Vegas trip, but it was worth it, ended up leaving Chicago early on Sat AM to avoid weather delays, getting into Houston before hotel room was ready, so hit Top Golf to burn a couple hours, then went to Rockets game that night, flew to San Fran Sun AM, went to the NFC Championship, and flew out on the red eye back to Chicago. Gone under 48 hours, 11 of it flying.

    Some highlights:

My best game to date at Top Golf:

    IMG_7912.JPEG

    LeBron was insane!

    IMG_7953.JPEG

Actually had a bit of a challenge getting out of downtown Houston (stayed at Hyatt Regency) due to the Marathon closing down a lot of streets, but made it in time for a LARGE breakfast as requested by Seany. :)

    IMG_8006.JPEG

Seats were great, club lounge was nice, crowd was awesome!!!

    IMG_8041.JPEG

Boyz 2 Men played the National Anthem..

It was super cool, after the win, they played Journey, entire crowd singing along.....

Getting out of San Fran was even tougher than Houston as the Ubers could not get thru. The Uber lot was a TOTAL FAIL, we walked another 20 minutes to a hotel and were able to get an uber black finally after over 90 minutes, but still in plenty of time to make our flight.

Hitting the elliptical hard today to recover!!! Leaving for Vegas in less than 100 hours!

wow, what an action packed fun 48 hours. Appears you son loved it too, such memories to have latter. Any chance you want to adopt a slightly older son prior to your next junket?
