And that is, in turn, where the McDonald's Filet-O-Fish sandwich came from -- a franchisee came up with it because nobody was buying burgers on Friday.

I actually read about that recently and thought to myself that but for the cheese, I would have bought it in a second.

As an aside, I'm reminded of Michael Schur's thing on "The Good Place" about "heated fruit".

Agreed completely, but I'm not going to bitch about it. As mentioned, i always wear a 3-piece suit. But if they let you in dressed as you are, that should be the end of that. I have my own personal preferences and peccadilloes, but I'm not going to impose it on other people.

I've always found fine dining places to be far more lenient in Vegas in general. I think part of the experience for some people is locking in a big win and being able to celebrate with dinner at a restaurant they'd never eat at otherwise. As a side effect of that they may not even have the proper attire as they weren't prepared for an extravagant meal.

I usually try and travel with at least one nice outfit that's suitable for something fancy just in case. I do like to look nice when we go out, but it's always so hot there, so sometimes I'm hesitant to actually dress up lol

    Good job digging this out.

Can you find out why its "No Shirt, No Shoes, No service" But they purposely left "No Pants" off the list? Can I be pantless, as long as I wear shoes and a shirt? And obviously promise to remove my cap...

This is a great point. I think that's all too true. If someone hits a big one unexpectedly, why not try to get it back via entertainment needs?

Also true about vegas dining being more lenient in general. One of the wealthier guys I know reached the point of not having to get dressed up anymore - worked his whole life to build a thriving business for his family and now he wears tee shirts/shorts as an "I win" type of mentality.

When he's letting loose in vegas you won't find him in a suit - he lets the yellow chips do the talking. The casinos who house the restaurants are well aware of the fact that sometimes you can't tell the difference between a millionaire and a couch potato based on what they wear when they're drinking and gambling.

The thought of buying 200 pairs of pants for the future is amusing to me.

Make it 200 pairs, but I'll take a variety of sizes 34-42" waist and 34" length, I'm just planning for the future!

This ain’t no damn ho’ house.
I always figured “man, for six figures, I’d wear a suit every fucking day”...turns out I was wrong haha. (Maybe for seven figures, but most other SWE’s I know barely dress at all; some even wear straight up sweats)

Good thing I don't eat at Wynn. I am the guy you are all talking about as I have showed up to some fine dining locations is attire not suited for some McDonald's.

My best so far was going to Yellowtail at Bellagio directly from the pool.. in boardshorts, flip flops and a inside out tshirt (as I thought that was better than what was on the front of it... so I turned it inside out in the lobby of the Bellagio).

I can't believe you remembered that scene. Heck - I watched every episode and still don't recall it even now.

Thanks for posting it. Classic Tony.
