July 2020 Roll Call

Since I’m not doing a trip report I’ll add a couple comments here for those considering July trips!

On the plus side 15 minutes from my house to gate including checking a golf bag and full size suitcase and I was first person all day thru clear and zero people in TSA PRE.




On the minus side, an Airport employee flat tired me on last step of escalator. Wtf. How is THAT 6 feet? Saw a family at my gate no masks. And when I first went to my gate:

Still planning on Going Wednesday at Bellagio, definitely look forward to your observations BJ! Craps and row 802!!! Go big!!!

 

Besides gambling all day Saturday, I’m pretty sure the highlight of the trip is the walk to Wynn crapper post 3 baskets of chips y salsa haha

 

After a quick nap during takeoff, starting off strong as United is giving snack boxes and serving drinks again!

Going July 26-28, a quick two nighter

 

I don’t think Vegas will stay open much longer. It’s too crowded at Aria. Just my opinion but I think enough people aren’t following the protocols despite best efforts of the casinos that spread will continue to accelerate and there is enough obvious noncompliance they will close it down.

Even on the flights I think it’s too crowded for there not to be some spread.

The pool thing is a total joke. Every just holds their drinks or is in pool. People are walking all over without masks on. It is outdoors and they are spread out so maybe not so bad, but they definitely aren’t following the intent of the governors orders, mostly using the drink as a loophole.

As for masks inside, most only pull down while sipping drinks.

All that said, had some nice hits in the casino!

 

Nice my friend!! Keep it up interesting take on Vegas possibly closing. It’s been a debate my hubs and I have every morning. ..... nice to know that you and I see it similar.

Mask enforcement at Aria pool on Saturday vs Friday was night and day. Rumor was they received a large fine, it was full on enforcement Saturday including a few groups getting kicked out for repeatedly not wearing masks on the deck.

The pool itself was still a total free for all, crowded, no masks.

 

I will definitely be driving next time. The mask and social distancing enforcement on Southwest was a JOKE yesterday.

I had A20 and actually got a window seat in the 2nd row. The LAST GUY on the plane sits in my row in the aisle. He either didn’t wear his mask or wore it incorrectly the WHOLE TIME!!!

Now before anyone says anything like “you should’ve said something” I will respond and say it’s not my job to do so. We were in the second row for Christ sake!!! I almost tripped trying to get to the aisle from the window seat without touching anything because of course he was coughing and sneezing for 45 mins

We are all at the mercy of the lowest common denominator here. It does seem like there are more of those in the US & Brazil than in other places, which might have something to do with leadership.
