Where to begin with all this? About 3 months ago, Google ate everything on my site after Feb 2018. Which sucks, as i work hard on my trip reports. Plus, they become part of our family albums, as I often go back through them to remember vacations we took.

I booked a charter to Borgata for Dad and I, and I wasn't planning on doing a trip report at all since I had nothing current on my site within the past 3 years+

But, with the help of the way back machine, I was able to rip my old source codes and band aid back the site once more. She is ugly, and clumsy, but at least current!

Ive lost all my pictures before, when Photobucket went rogue. Had the site crash a few times, as I kept switching hosts. But after a decade of holding it together with grit and floss, like my wife says about our sex life, it is good enough!

The players, me and Dad. 24 seat charter jet from Chicago right to ACY

2 nights, over the weekend, in a small but nice classic room.

Zero on the agenda except to get away for the weekend and gambol!

    https://sites.google.com/site/lvgrid/videos/2021-back-in-the-ac-saddle-again

All the details and pics are on my blog. And I am ready and willing to answer any AC questions, should any of you have any.

Hey now. Nice report, Doctor! (I didn't see that one coming!) I never knew I needed a sausage as big as a baby's arm. Is Ocean's a stand alone casino? I've seen pics in other reports and it looks really nice. I haven't been to AC since the mid 90's and was kicked out of some joint on the boardwalk for being underage.
I got a mailer for a Borgota junket a couple months ago and I tossed it without a second thought. Then my wife tells me yesterday she wants to go on a junket this summer, so someone read it... I think we'll do it if I get a summertime offer and I have any money left after Vegas next month. Im also getting Cesaer's junket offers regularly. I have no idea why. Haven't stayed in a CET prop since the IP. All things being equal which offer would you take? Borgota or Harrahs?

Anyway, nice hand pay. That's always fun. Stinks that so many machines were off but it sounds like you made the best of it. Cheers!

Oceans is stand alone. But that doesn't seem to deter many in the AC market. The place was hopping! The comps seem good, and the resort itself is really unlike anything else I have ever seen. And not just in AC, but anywhere.

From their sprawling to the roof top pools and scenery overlooks. It really is a nice place. The only knock on it, was that they built it assuming it would be a smash hit. And with that, they have way too much empty retail and dining spaces still. One day, maybe they get that filled up. But for now, its just long hallways of empty space in that massive building.

The difference between Harrahs and Borgata is night and day. Harrahs itself is nice, and its fairly big. Nothing like its namesake shit hole in Vegas! But Borgata is in a league of its own. Pure class over there. And I prefer the Mlife program to Total Rewards anyway. But Borgata also does what they call bonus slot dollars, on top of your standard Mlife earnings. Those dollars are only good on your return visit though.

It is harder to earn Tier Credits at the Borg, compared to Vegas. But overall the comp values are still stronger in AC.

The Borg was built by Steve Wynn, so keep that in mind if you are familiar with his other properties. And the Air Borgata program itself is run really well. Typically, at least for us, Borgata is good with weekend getaway junkets. Where as Total Rewards Air normally wants to dump you at a property midweek, when they arent busy.

Good intel! Great for those AC players, looking for a reason to go to Vegas. I'm the opposite. I'm a rated Vegas player, that likes to go to AC.

This is smart for both of casinos, to feed a list of rated players back and forth. The only flaw in their plan, are players like me. I card matched there like 3 years ago, so I never really even played with them. Maybe, maybe I did $1K of coin-in on a drop in visit. And somehow, I am still Black in their system. Just dont go telling on me!

Great report Grid! Always enjoy your perspective. Congrats on the Ming Warrior handy....the feature 2 is pretty rare. Last time I sat on Ming for about 2 1/2 hours and got 25 bonuses, of which only 3 were feature 2, and no handys playing at $10/spin.

Tell me about it! I'm certainly no Ainsworth pro like you. But I have played Ming over the years, and this was my 1st feature 2 ever. I thought FOR SURE it would be a monster handy. But, like I said in the report, not a single 5 of a kind to push me way over the top. One day...

Grid, you inspired me to play Ming warrior at the 7.50 bet level at Borgata and I got a bonus very quickly, first time ever I got the feature two with 8x, I’m thinking, here it is, my Ming warrior handy just like Grid had. The result...660 credits. I felt gutted. Evil game. :(
