I can't seem to find this online unless I'm terrible at searching. I am looking to build a loyalty with Cosmopolitan however I'm confused on their Tier system.

On the website it says my tier points will not expire if I stay active within 12 months.

So if I were to make Gold status (20,000 tier points) all I have to do is visit Vegas once a year to gamble a few bucks and I get to keep all my points and Gold Tier?

I'm new to the rewards category in Vegas. Also which slots are best to grind for points in Cosmopolitan?

    Thanks

I think you're mixing identity points and tier points.

Identity points are like comp dollars. They expire after 12 months without using your Identity card. If you stay active, they never go away.

Tier points dictate what tier level you're at. They expire after a year. Mine reset in May but others may be different.

The way it is shown online under their FAQ is so confusing. Thanks for your help.

The easiest way to think about it is this:

To advance to a higher tier than the one you’re at. They look at the last 365 days of tier points. That’s a moving window.

To keep your same tier…when you get to a higher tier the day you earn it becomes your anniversary date. You now have that tier for one year. You have until your anniversary date to earn enough points to get that tier again in order to renew for another year.

I just looked at the website and the Identity Points and Tier Points sections in the FAQ are separate and in the Identity Points section the verbiage is appropriate, so I don't know if you have an old screenshot or landed on some other page or what. I agree the wording in your screenshot needs/needed revision.

Not sure why either but I got to my page by clicking on....
    • Identity Membership at the top.
    • Drop Down menu click on About Identity
    • The FAQ is at the bottom of the page as shown in my screenshot.
Maybe if you know someone who works for Cosmo they can do this easy fix.

Their website is traditionally terrible. They're second probably only to USPS in being unable to figure out how the internet works. I would honestly just call them.

And the current website is a million times better than what it was prior.

This may have mentioned elsewhere but just found out that platinum no longer gives you access to vip checkin. Booked a trip for oct and our host pointed out that the qualifier for vip checkin had changed. So of course I looked online and yup, it now states invited guest check in line. Wth??!! Lol

@Wiscolovesvegas thanks for the heads up! I was looking forward to the VIP check in on my next trip--guess not! If the qualifier is so many losing trips in a row and platinum--I'm in! LOL!

We are going in oct so maybe you get grandfathered in up until some point?? But hell girl if that were the case … I’d have a super secret vip check in for losers. I have yet to have a winning trip. Haha

Definitely have to be coded for it. Which happened to us once by chance. We then asked our host again, he very politely suggested we utilize the invited guest line. Haha

Yeah not sure. We’ve always had it, it was listed as a perk of platinum but has changed since our last trip in early April. ? Oh well just another quiet change being done I guess :)

VIP check-in was never automatic with platinum.

Invited guest line is for anyone staying on a casino offer.

thanks for the correction. I could have sworn that it was listed as a perk of platinum. :)
