ballagio's weekend getaway 7/29-7/31 to collect FP

    After reading about everyone's adventures in gambling, my wife and I have decided that we are going to sneak in for the weekend to get away from all of our families' drama and life. We were planning on an August trip but afraid that she may be put on a travel restriction. This will break will come at the perfect time. The OB hasn't put her on a travel restriction yet as she is due in October.

    The plan is to check-in at the VP. Lyft over to the Cosmo to collect a couple of grand of FP that expires in September. Convert my FP into some diaper and formula money. Head over to Carbone to celebrate. We have never been there and wanted to try something new. This trip will be about new experiences. On Saturday, we plan on cashing in the $100 Diamond meal for some live spot prawn sashimi at Beijing #9 at Caesars. Then Cut for dinner to burn some comps. Never eaten there either. Early breakfast at Bouchon to burn some more comps and then head home a winner.

    Food suggestions at Carbone and Cut would be appreciated. Probably will be food pics. Haven't decided on BR yet as I just confirmed my trip this morning. There will be a good mix of table and slot games. This will be the last trip of the year. Baby is due in a few months. Doesn't feel right to go to Vegas without my partner in crime.

    Awwww, best of luck to you and your partner in crime! You have lots of great food choices there. Not sure if they still have it at CUT, but they had a Waygu tasting dish that offered three different varieties and that was really good. Pretty sure as long as you get a night when their great on service you can't go wrong with any food choices there. Looking forward to following along- safe travels and wishing the best of luck!

    I got the Waygu filet mignon at CUT last time and it was melt in your mouth tender and very good, but for half the price my husband had a huge Ribeye and it was seasoned incredibly and I think I actually preferred his good ol' American ribeye better! He raved about the creamed spinach ( which is very good for baby and mom ) he had as a side. I had the mushrooms and Mac n cheese. All delicious! The shrimp and crab appetizer ( I can't for the life of me remember what it's called) was fantastic! It's very light and full of seafood with the perfect balance of acidity. We both ordered one and ate every bite. All of the desserts we have had were fantastic and the pistachio ice cream and dark chocolate cake paired really well. The bread tray they bring out will amaze you. Take one of each as they are all SO good!!! Service is impeccable there in all my experience anyway. Carbone everyone says to get the veal parmigiana and the spicy rigatoni with the Caesar salad!

    The standard meal at Carbone is the Caesar salad, spicy rigatoni and veal parm. This is a ton of food for two.

    I feel that Cut over seasons their meat so I tell them to back off upon ordering. I'm a big fan of the veal tongue appetizer.

    Yep do not order above or beyond what plee said but splurge on the baananas flambe if you feel you have room!

    Deffinately do not order one main per person or majority will be going in the trash due to being so full

    Thanks. Is it bad if I say I am betting diaper and formula money? Kidding. I'm sure the wife will figure out a way to make another gambling trip before the end of the year whether it is Vegas or New Orleans.

    I have enjoyed reading your food/gambling posts too. The break will be much needed with all of the family drama. Vegas is awesome in that you escape reality and the fantasy of Vegas is your reality while there. Can't think of a better getaway.

    You know that it is just me and the wife for dinner, right? I'm not feeding the whole family. Thanks for the suggestions. Funny story is that my kids (4 and 5 at the time) tried Wagyu one time at a restaurant and now insists on ordering it every time we go eat at this one restaurant. At first I was horrified. Now I accept it because will weed the deadbeats out when they start dating.

    Sounds like what we will be ordering tonight.

    Damn you. Why is there so much good food that we have never tried? Screw the diet tonight. Wait, we are pigs so will order it as well.

    I need some HL room luck at the Cosmo. Haven't won there but looking to change it tonight with my FP. I don't think I am going to put any of my BR at Cosmo tonight. FP hit and run. Might try Aria though as have never been there except when they first opened. Suggestions on machines?

    I believe it is called the Louis...shrimp crab appy. I actually really like a good old filet and their mac n cheese but wow that mac n cheese is the richest lips to the hips side but so worth it!

    I have had good luck on the bonus times reels $5 denom by mlife desk area and craps tables multiple handpays on them.

    I like original cleo in hl room it is on the left hand side bank when you are exiting hl room
    and also pharoahs fortune at aria as well.

    Good luck at Cosmo been pretty tight for me also

    The pinball up top at aria in hl room seems to hit alot also.
    $5 top dollar by mlife always seems to be on fire
    Reels by mlife also pretty good always see people winning on those older reels to the right when facing mlife desk

    Good luck and may the odds be ever in your favor! Hahahaha! It's Vegas! Order it up and enjoy and waste as much as you need! I can actually eat an entire main, appetizer, side and dessert plus the bread starters! In Vegas, at dinner out I eat like a savage!

    So far for me .. YES. The machine just to the right was paying off on UX for others. The far right one with DSTP is where you hit the handpay but haven't seen anything else there. Honestly, the little time I have been there, never a lot of people playing any of the 3.
