Great day on the course. Started out VERY rough, but big improvement on back 9. Shot 18 strokes better on the back.

Oh shit I just realized it was a par 71….it was actually 19 strokes

Scorecard should have read 50-31. . I always keep track by over/under par and then total that way. I was assuming Par was 36-36: 72 so -4 back would have been 32, but really it was 36-35: 71 so should have been a +14 50 followed by a -4 31.

I was actually playing really well the first round in Nebraska but started fucking up a bit on the second round. That carried over and got worse, but then I figured out what I was doing wrong and flagged a few shots and made a few putts the last 7 holes.

It doesn’t really bother me playing bad, I just ty to have fun and wait it out. My game is generally trash but sometimes I get a hot streak. Similar to my gambling and dating experience.

Corrected Scorecard with 19 stroke difference (porn the same difference in strokes my wife is getting from the mailman today!):



This ties my all time low 9 hole score, but the other 31 was on a Par 36.

The first time I got that it really bothered me. Even worse when Borat and I BOTH got aces kicker at Cosmo on Deuces Wild. Those natural quads on deuces wild used to really bother me too.

I tracked quads for a few trips and I came out so far ahead with the extra $750 every quad though, getting $2,000 instead of $1,250. As you can see with the queens right after. And I also realized at some point the cards wouldn’t be the same on the other game. So now I actually welcome these hands as a triple reverse jinx. . IE I ONLY won because of the somewhat painful hand wrong game BUT a win is a win. Prob helps more that I don’t play Triple Double for the Aces-Kicker too. Less FOMO.

Even better for this situation, I had been waiting for a drink and keeping the handpay separate so was running low and had switched to dollars in case the drink took a while. I got a full house on dollar so switched to $2 got a full house first hand so switched back to $5 and hit the queens on the second hand after switching.

I have been REALLY lucky the past year for hitting at the time of bigger bets for 3-card poker and roulette and for getting right VP hands at the right time, with multipliers, on $5. Whatever.

I play bonus deluxe base game but if I get dealt two deuces I’ll switch to deuces wild for 3-10 hands depending how it goes.

I also had some painful near misses on this other progressive bank the first night-now those REALLY HURT!’

While my view may suck, I do love these Aria mattresses. I almost bought one once but wife made me cancel the order. She prefers something a little stiffer in the bedroom so I guess she will have the mailman choose while I am out of town!

Drink service at Aria has been pretty bad. It’s been long waits to see server and I had one long wait and got wrong drink given. And once I have gotten service I’ve given $10 first drink and $5 after and still not seen them back again at all.

Given this is a long trip and the bad room and service I’m going to hold off any more play til I check into Palazzo on Sunday. I am done at Aria. I do have a meet up with Chicago buddy on Friday so prob play some then.

Def good to lock in a win for the first leg of the trip!!

Today I’m doing a strip walk and then the pool. Then I have some work stuff to finish up and planning on grabbing Lemongrass tonight for dinner—one of my favorites!!!

Golf tomorrow at Bali Hai then meeting up with work buddy from Chicago.
