Second attempt at a trip report... staying the whole time

Okay, so I tried my first ever trip report on my last trip, September 2016... it was a horrible, losing trip and I left early. Here I am to try again. Staying at NYNY. Here for a slot tournament. I have plans to participate in the HL pull at Cosmo tomorrow night, other than that it's a lot of hoping for great luck in the tournament and in my general/normal play. I'm a 99% slot player with an occasional go at BJ and/or craps (I really do love craps, but feel like my BR can go so fast on it if things start slowly).

I left from Orange County, CA at 8 am, arriving at NYNY just before noon. My room wasn't ready, they offered an alternative, but I declined... it's not like there isn't anything to do while I wait. I played a bit of bartop keno and VP, then moved on to slots. I'm not sure what time my room was ready, by I noticed the text around 3. I then headed to my room and had my luggage brought up. I have a strip view Madison Ave. room. Not the best, but fine for me. They usually put me in a spa suite, but, honestly, I never use the spa, so this is just fine. I headed back down and had lunch at Il Fornaio. Had two yummy Tuscan lemonades and a vegetable pizza. Went back to slots. Really not having any luck (I'm a low roller). After playing a while, I had dinner at the sushi place... can't remember what it's called. Drank a Kai Saketini and ate two rolls... a Paradise and a Rajin Cajun, both with added spicy ponzu. Both were good, but I preferred the Paradise. It has small, thinly slice pieces of lemon on it, which when combined with the spiciness and albacore, added just the right tang. BTW... didn't enjoy the drink very much. I started eating both meals before I remembered to take pics. Sorry about that. I then headed back on the floor for more slots. I lost more than I had planned for my gambling budget for the day. At around 11, I suddenly decided I am exhausted and over budget, so I headed up to start the TR and get some rest.

Below are a few food pics and a couple of hits. Nothing spectacular, like I said. I'll try to keep up tomorrow. My first round in the tournament is at 11:20.

Okay, so the wifi wasn't working properly and I couldn't upload all of my pics. I just spent the last 20 minutes on the phone with IT, trying to get it to work. It's seems like all is good, so let's try the rest of my pics.

For some unknown reason I woke up at 7 with a massive headache. I'm sure the drinking yesterday played a part, but it was largely a sinus headache. I decided to take ibuprofen and allergy mess and head downstairs for some water and a couple of baileys and coffee. Lost on keno, lost on slots. Had the buffet at Chin Chin. I'm not much of a breakfast eater, but the food was fresh. I decided to have a Bloody Mary with it. I then went back to losing at slots before my 11:20 tournament session. I did horribly in round 1. I then went back to losing at slots. I'm currently waiting for round 2. Hopefully it's much better than the first. I really could use a turn around of luck. I also need to save some funds for when I head to Cosmo later for the HL pull. I haven't played anywhere else yet, so plan on hitting MC on the way, and of course play a bit at Cosmo. It only takes one good win to get back in it, right?

It certainly isn't the first time I've been in this boat, but we can always hope for it to be great from the start. Here is to hoping it's great in the end at least.

Round 3 at the tournament was again, no bueno. I decided to get "brunch" at Toms Urban... treehugger Benedict and some tasty but sweet Malibu rum based mixed drink. Played a little more slots and decided to head up to the room for a rest before heading back out for the night.

I remember it had some berry stuff and cream de coconut or something like that. I'll try to remember to go by and take a pic of the ingredients list later.
