They are doing good. I just moved them down by the water in their baby coop this morning. They freaked out and keep coming back up top looking for their house. Lol

 

Hoofy, how is your daughter doing? I love the pictures of the chicks.

 

She just came home last night. She seems to be responding great to the antibiotics and so hoping she caught it early and no lasting affects. Thanks for asking.

Current situation....
Had dental surgery this morning and am required to lay down for a "few" hours. This should keep me busy. I look like one of My Ameraucana chicks already my right cheek is so swollen. It's a good look.

 

Sorry about the Dental surgery. It's the sugar in those Key Lime Pie Martini's.

As for Game of Thrones I just can't. To me the best part of that show is the music in the opening credits.

 

Me and Mrs. P have a friend here in Houston who is going through the same thing that you are. I've been reading through your thread but haven't commented until now because I really don't know you but I wanted to mention something that I hope helps.

Reading your journey and witnessing her journey first hand I'm struck by just how similar the experience is for both of you, the range of emotions, the struggles, the little victories etc. I'm sure there's no "right way" to cope with what life has handed the two of you but I'm struck by the strength and resilience that I see in both cases.

When my grandfather, who I was very close with, passed of a heart attack I had a friend who gave me some advice that I carry to this day.

Saying that time heals all wounds is silly, but it does teach you how to manage them.

I've never, really, gotten over not playing golf with my Grandfather or going to eat pizza with him (his favorite), but I've learned to deal with it and have figured out how to find joy in the memories. I hope the same for you as time moves on.

I admire your strength and wish you the best going forward.

So sorry you had to have that done, hopefully by now your cheek is back to normal, and you can start eating like normal soon?!

I was also at the dentist this morning... no surgery but left there with a 4 page list of all the stuff I need to have done, plus all the stuff I can choose to have done to improve my smile and overall dental health. All of this for ONLY a measly 10 grand, give or take

 

It's a freaking racket. I've got $20K in and looks like nothing has even been done. Plus tons more to do! I had expensive existing dental work but it's met its longevity as I've had it for almost 20 years so it all needs replaced. The prices are ridiculous. All my extra money I would normally take to Vegas is wrapped up in teeth and new house so I'm depressed. If I wasn't only 43 I'd tell them to rip them all out and give me fixed dentures. Hell of a lot cheaper and I could be sitting at a slot machine! Lol

 

You just need to binge watch one whole season and you will be hooked. Lol I LOVE the series. Cersei Lannister is my hero. My goal in life is to be as big of bitch as her to people I don't like.

 

I did try to watch it. Watched the first three seasons and then just gave up on it. If you take away the nudity it's really pretty standard fantasy writing, albeit with a huge cast of characters. It is a pretty thing to look at on TV though, I'll give you that.

One thing I did like was the idea of the White Walkers and their ability to raise the dead after battles. After season three I've watched an episode or two when nothing else was on. That theme music tho......gold.

 

I think they have some incredible actors on GOT as well as one hell of a set and costume design team. Definitely award winning. I have peafowl I named Dracarys & Kaleesi! Lol My white rooster is John Snow.
