The host in ballys took off $100 BLT dinner and one day of resort fees, i can't complain. One more walk through then airport and a recap of it all. I did notice ballys resort feed are $40 per day now which is absurd, oh well

I would think you should get meals and rooms all comped for that? I have been rated at 75 per hand with 24 hours of bj play over four days and did not have to pay for room, resort fees, or food at PH.

They comped all my baileys and coffee but to be fair I "know" brandon the bartender from going there a few times so not entirely sure lol

I agree with Southpaw. Should be plenty of play to cover that.

25 hours of 3 to 2 blackjack at $75 average is only about $1150 theo for CET (assuming 1% theo and 60 hands an hour). So $140 beyond the room comp sounds about right to me unfortunately. Since he played a bit of crap bartop VP, that's about another $50 extra theo per 100 TC earned. Same for slots. I have no idea how much he played of those though.

One time I stayed at Ballys, I wanted to use reward credits to pay for the room, but she misunderstood me and thought I wanted to get room charges comped off. I barely played at Ballys that trip and said I had like $1.50 in comps *blushes*.
    I missed this earlier. Betting 3??? Why?!?! :p. 1 or 5, imo

Do they only rate at 60 hands per hour? I’d think it would be at least twice that. I’m typically not at full tables though I guess.

Full tables rate about this, afaik. With 7 players it's difficult to play more than a hand a minute. Pits may adjust accordingly if you're short handed. I would never want to play heads up. Way too fast for me!

Since I am already diamond and always get comped rooms on the front end with no resort fees would that Theo be available for me to comp off any room charges? I’ve been going every month lately but I have not been playing as heavy the last few trips. I don’t want to let that go to waste either though.

Comped rooms (and probably comped resort fees) go against the theo you earn. So it depends on how much you play after the room comp is accounted for. That's why I thought $140 in charges sounded fair for $1125 theo because $1125 theo should only yield about $400 in comps total. Thurs.-Sun. night in a Jubilee room should be valued at least $260 for four nights internally for comp purposes, at least I would think.

Unfortunately I'm such a flea at CET that I can't use my own experiences to judge what an expected comp should be. But one thing I can say, when it comes to comps, you're better off charging to the room and see if they are willing to take it off the back end.

But with CET in Vegas, I've also heard that hosts like to wipe your charges with RCs first before adding additional comps, so if you have a large balance of RCs and want to save them, then I would be more careful about liberally charging to the room.

Well now I'm thinking that perhaps the host, who isn't mine but just the one sitting in the diamond check in, didn't do me much of a favor? lol, well I guess I can't be too upset. Also collected 4 badges, and one earlier in AC, so 1k tier credits. I'm stupid bc had I played more at PH and at Paris at all, four hundred more TCs. Cromwell was just above and beyond this trip. I can't honestly see how I didn't, at a minimum, have over $500-700 worth of drinks alone lol

The room comp was for 3 nights Friday through Monday if that matters any, jubilee strip facing room so who knows.

Just got back to DC, too tired now but a full recap Wil be coming tomorrow when I'm back at work lol

I've heard such great things about Cromwell's service. And the few times I've played on the full pay VP bank, I've been taken care of. With the treatment you get there, why play elsewhere at CET?

So a quick recap as I'm at work and don't want to be on too long lol.

Got in on time, notwithstanding crazy wind storms here and trees blown down on the highway as well as all train service between Boston and DC being suspended.

First night, relatively tame, only played for a couple hours and had 7-8 drinks (probably more). I ended up having Barbary dogs at 2-3am? Not sure, slept 2 hours tops.

Met up with the famous Tbone Saturday morning at Cosmo, had a mimosa and he was kind enough to treat. This is someone outside of this forum I would be friends with, just a stand up guy. Met up with a few members of the other Vegas forum, hung out with them a few times over the weekend- excellent people. Another friend from back home was in town on work, met up at Montecristo cigar bar for my 2nd of 3 times. Good seeing him since he's coming to my wedding lol.

Then, I did nothing but really play the next two days. I believe I played BJ at Ballys (shoe), then DD at Flamingo w/ Jean the pitboss- who recognized me Monday when I came in for my final goodbyes lol. Then DD at Cromwell whereupon I befriended 5 of the Pit Staff and at least 10 dealers who somehow remembered my name. I also apparently went to BLT Steak which I don't remember the impetus for, had a steak, sprouts, baileys and coffee. I also was at Flamingo, Bugsy's bar, at night with the folks from the other forum and hit 2's with the kicker for 800 quarters I believe. Tipped the bartender nicely and he got a round for the 4-5 people sitting near me. I was Edward Scissorhanding drinks which got the approval of some folks around (or, disapproval, either is fine).

For context, I am the antithesis of a high roller. I play green chips, most comfortable 25-50 but when loaded up to 100 and above. I played all night Sat ended up 200-300. Then came Sunday.

Sunday, I got started at 2:30am apparently as I couldn't sleep. I played off and on, only breaking for MonteCristo for one last cigar at 10am when they opened. Hung with Brandon for a while, he remembered me from November (and obviously the past two days). Comped the 2 coffee and baileys at the bar while I messed around on $1 VP, playing 3-5 credits b/c why not (I'm not a VP player just have fun).

The Cromwell is where all this BJ happened. The drinks all came with Fiji and after the first 2 they brought me whatever and I drank it. It shifted from mimosas which are my staple to mudslides, white Russians, a manhattan or two? and who knows what else. I played with my other forum friends, and new friends I made there until 6pm. I ended up losing everything except for 4 green chips. I played 2, $50 hands and ran that back up to 1600 (from 1800-2000). Left to try Roulette, lost $100 then called it a night. my phone died and I was sitting at a slot machine. I remember being coherent enough to talk to a security guy asking if I was alright. I was and wasn't, so I left shortly thereafter. The next morning, I got a round of applause from 5-6 tables near the Eatwell station which includes the 2-3 DD BJ and other BJ tables. I was also apparently Edward Scissorhanding drinks there from 11am onward the day before, I remember some of this but not all. I was told that I continually drank myself sober with a total of 4 hours this entire weekend of sleep. I made friends with folks from a walk of life I otherwise wouldn't have, which is primarily why I go to Vegas.

I also wrote reviews on a piece of paper for the staff which I think they appreciated. I think the $500+ in tips also helped. Again I am a low- low/mid roller so hopefully they appreciated it relative to my play. My ratings were higher than they were so my assumption is, yes. I ended up down only $300-400 after all of this activity and that's including tips so I suppose I was "up". I think that my play will reassign me a low level host, if not whatever it is what it is as long as the rooms and food keep coming. I also slept through a dinner at Rao, my one regret but it happened Sunday at 6pm whereupon I'm not sure I was alive at that point.

The next morning I walked into the host's office (I don't have one currently), he took off the BLT Steak dinner, one resort fees night and I told him I would write him a review.

My flight back connected in midway, the midway flight to DC was cancelled. The SW agent immediately booked me on an earlier, nonstop flight to Baltimore which in the end got me home 2 hours early. I had a lot of luck on this trip and it will be my last until early next year as I'm getting married November.

This is a brief synopsis of what happened, I left some out accidentally and some deliberately. I really hope a weekend like this happens again and if not, this is a memory I'll always have.
I hope this was enjoyable and perhaps next year, i'll see some more of you.

    Until then,

    LB9
