I feel like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory. We used to go to Vegas in September for my Birthday & April for his. The last couple of years more time has lagged between trips and we took my son and daughter in law so no trips just for us. And my husband expressed his disenchantment with Vegas. Both of our mothers died last May and there wasn’t a lot of joy around. We went to Tahoe in December and Although the scenery is breathtaking- it is not Vegas. Work has been a total pile of . This nursing shortage is wearing on me. I am beginning to hate my job. Yesterday as I was leaving the house I told my husband “we used to go to Vegas on my Birthday for me as a stress relief from my mother(I was her care giver- she was frail, dementia etc). Work has become my mother”. He looked at me and said “so you want to go to Vegas for your Birthday”? Me - YES. So new clause in the marriage agreement. Vegas on my Birthday. Because we haven’t been much or played our offers suck! I did use an offer my husband had for 3 free nights at Monte Carlo in the new Park room and two more nights dirt cheap. I hope the construction is through by then.
If you have a copy of the clause, please forward to me, I'd like to add it to my marriage certificate as well Glad you're going to be able to get away and de-stress for a bit....Hopefully a few big wins will assist in giving you a needed positive influence.
Marriage is all about compromise. Fortunately, we don't have to compromise on Vegas but we do when it comes to sports on TV. The Golden Knights play tonight on NBCSN and Michigan plays aTm in the Sweet 16. Solution? Two TVs. I'm glad to hear y'all have compromised and can scratch that Vegas itch. Now, if you'll excuse me. I've got to go prep my heart.
