Queen and Adam Lambert

We just saw Cher at the Park Theatre earlier this month... I'm not sure the best place to get tix, it's a fairly limited run, so not sure if they will get discounted very much, if at all. Not surprised your CET host can't get tix since it's an MGM venue? Anyway, we thought the venue was very nice..It's not that large - 4000-5000, so I would say that all the seats are good. We were on the right side of the stage, second section and our seats were great...Thinking about going to the same myself later in September so if you go, please let us know how it was.

 

I saw Bruno Mars there. It’s a great venue as DRP said. Very small. Any seat would be great.

 

Looks like I'm in IHAVP.... just got our flights today for a mid September trip, and Queen will be on our list of shows...perhaps see you there

Been researching my own for this, was thinking of going a week earlier. Huge Queen fan. Seen them twice w/Adam Lambert. It may not be Queen in their prime, but both were stellar nights of musicianship.

Thanks for this post Ace....Nice to hear...to be honest, I was kinda iffy about this one...MrsDRP was all in for it...myself, over the years I've heard their songs so much on radioplay that I've tired of them a bit...BUT.... never saw them live, and I have a feeling their music will be awesome to see live....

 

Yes I have and yes it does. Word is it's pretty sanitized from how decadent the real story is, but like Vegas I'll take anything to do with Queen in any version.

 

3 years ago the setlist was an nice mix of radio hits, concert favorites and a few deep catalog surprises for the hardcore fans (which I certainly am). Last summer was 50/50 radio hits and concert favorites. But Lambert absolutely sings his ass off, Roger still sings high harmonies like no one else (while drumming no less) and if you're a guitar guy, Brian May's playing and tone are still second to none.

We are going opening night. We saw them in DC last year and we really enjoyed it. I was surprised how good it actually was. The only drawback it was at the Verizon Center and the distance to the stage was a little too far. My wife really wanted to go when they came to Vegas. It would be a more intimate performance. She told me that I owed her because I had tickets to the Caps game when they were playing for the Stanley Cup. She was bitter that she did not get to go. This was the compromise.
