Righty - WSOP Main Event - Aria 7/3/2018 to ????

    Heading back to Vegas again tomorrow to play the WSOP ME. Finally able to make it happen with my work/life schedule, so pretty excited.

    Hotel
    -Staying at my old favorite, Aria. Feel like I’m cheating on Cosmo, but I’m able to get it comped without going through my host and have no expectations for BJ/etc. Spoke to my Cosmo host about staying there, but didn’t want to no-play the trip.

    Poker/Gambling
    - going to be very poker-focused, with hopefully just the tournament. Playing Day 1C, starting Wednesday. Day 2 for my group is Friday, so plan to play some golf Thursday if I make it through Day 1.
    - if I do bust out, playing cash games at Bellagio. This is one of the best weeks for cash, so will be playing 80/160 Limit poker, and up to 150/300, if it runs.
    - may allocate some $$ to blackjack, but we’ll see

    Food
    - one good thing about Aria is the proximity to Lemongrass and Javier’s. Will be hitting up both at some point.

    Will do my best to provide updates/interesting hands, but may not be as live as I’d like. Need to focus and win that $8MM!!

    Save the recaps for after day 7. Get some rest when you can. Don’t call off your stack with one pair. Bounce Vanessa Selbst early so we don’t have to put up with her shit on tv. After all of that, enjoy the grind!

    Vanessa is one of my closest friends in the poker world.

    Just kidding. Ha! I had the (dis)pleasure of playing with her in one of the WPTs at Borgata a few years ago. One of the most self-righteous people I have ever met, so knocking her out would clear a bucket list item!

    Sorry for being misinformed but isn't the WSOP held at Rio?

    Aria is my home casino and that's the only reason I've been trying to figure out when they'll be moving the extra poker tables off of the slot floor. Also - all the extra players come out onto the slot floor to smoke given that they're not allowed to smoke at the table. Like it's OK to smoke around slot players but not poker players. Really?

    Is this what you're referring to?

    Yeah, she is in the finance world now, but still plays some tournaments. Definitely expect to see her here again.

    Yep, it is at Rio and I’ll be playing there.

    I’m staying at Aria, though, since not a huge fan of Rio. Always good to be able to get away from there on dinner breaks, etc.
