I was approached by several people claiming that the casino has a way of manipulating the cards by their complex computer software. I have a hard time believing this is true but for some reasons some days a lot of dragons.comes out. I feel that this is up there with the UFO sighting. So I am throwing it out there to some of you who are more experienced in this. What do you guys think?

Computers can do lots of things.

No way are they playing games with the cards, or even computer run Bacc games. They win with the built in edge.

Online games? I would not trust them at all. Smaller casinos, especially those that seem to outside regulatory control? Possible.

    Vegas? Nope.

Getting back to your original statement - it appears you are talking about actual cards. Are these people saying they somehow change the physical cards in the shoe while people are playing?

You can chose either side of the bet, how would they manipulate the cards in real time per your bet? Really people the edge is built in. Play enough you will always lose. Why rig a game that is already rigged?

Found a few other tidbits online where the auto-shuffle machines have certain smarts. Even if they did manipulate the shuffle, how do they know how/what the player is going to do? Am I missing something here?

Maybe the machines are emitting some low frequency subliminal messages on which side to bet?

Unless you're playing video baccarat or playing in some alley, I think you're in the clear.

I would not trust some (or most) online casinos.

They don't need to rig it. The advantage is built in. Offshore or online casinos I would not trust but in any normal jurisdiction in the USA you'd be fine.

This is actually a good question. I believe all casino games are rigged every since I lost 10k at mgm grand 12 years ago playing double deck blackjack. I swear the dealer was using slight of hand at the mgm, I should of made a big deal out of it but I walked away. But you can use this for your advantage on baccarat. Example: A person put a 10k bet on banker and you play 2k on player. That gives you a edge and a better chance of winning since some casinos are fixed.

    I call it variance.

I also call them all negative expectation games.

The house's edge is the cost of entertainment for me. If, on occasion, the standard deviation is in my favor (luck) and I walk away ahead or even, or above the expected loss, then I consider it a "win" and keep going.

    Welcome aboard.

All you have to do to get your answer is get multiple decks of cards, shuffle and then put them in order--write down that order. Then cut the cards, then see how they come out. Do it numerous times. Do it like 50 times. If you are actually serious, you can get your real and factual answer by doing this. Might be to tedious and too difficult for most people, but it will 100% tell you the answer.

It's not rigged it's shuffle mastered=AI's idea of legally random. At higher limits another computer LED read out called ( Angle Eye) reads out individual cards drawn. I've seen that misread two hands but that was caught by players and floor people pushed a button and fixed it right now. That was at the Wynn. One time at palazzo stadium gaming I got paid for a player pair bonus 11-1 computer said cards came 3-3 queen but we all know a player 6 does not draw. the real order was queen-3 then a third card of three.I talked to a HIGH ranking man who stuck his special card and code in an pulled up past hands screen- says your right it's ok keep the payout well look into this glitch! Never detected any rigging.

Vegas casinos don't need to rig this game. I've been playing this game for a long time and the unthinkable can happen at this game. Just a random occurrence.

If they know the player has a consistent betting pattern. But yes, you are right, they already have an edge mathematicly. Hit n run only way to win long term

Vegas casinos are heavily regulated. They wouldn't try to rig games and risk losing their gambling license (which would bankrupt them). They game is rigged in so far as the game has a consistent house edge, simple as that.

At some casinos the slot payouts are so low it seems like their really isn’t any jackpots it just says payouts on the slot machine to entice you to play but they never hit

A hand dealt game of baccarat cannot be rigged. It is up to the players to choose a side to win and the cards are in plain sight in the shoe sitting on the table. Once the cards are in the shoe, the order they come out does not change. And the dealers 95% of the time want the players to win. Players that are winning tip more. And how many dragons are dealt is purely random. I've seen it appear as many as 7 times in 19 hands and as few as once in 3 shoes of 80 hands each.
