Macallan rare cask was mr. CTs favorite.

 

Scotch is such an individualized taste, i always hesitate to make a recommendation. Macallan is a very good whisky, but I don’t enjoy the sherried drams as much as I used to.

Everyone seems to like a good Irish whiskey...as it should be!

 

Waldo's Special Ale. I was looking forward to this one, but meh - thick and sweet, decent flavor. 11.7%!

 

It's a great value though overall! Where did you grab it? I need to seek it out this week.

Of the 99 pale ales ive checked in this 6%er is tied for 4th at 4.5 sips. The only three I've rated higher are Pseudo Sue, Lagunitas Born Again Yesterday, and Triptych Dank Meme. Also the 8th highest I've tried in global rating. It's very good!

It sure is good, and a good value too at $10/4 pk tallboys.

I wanted Psuedo Sue, but they were 4 months old. PS is the top of my admittably short list of pale ales.

 

Yeah, you need to get it fresh. And the first time I had it, the cans were clearly from Decorah. I gave that a 5. The second time contracted out and was less good.

And Pompeii is a great value too if you haven't had it.
