Looking for $5 tables games on the strip or slightly off but not downtown for a June vegas trip with my sis and brother in law. Any input much appreciated!

Gold Coast will likely have them. Quick Uber ride or grab the Rio shuttle and walk over...

Hooters will have $1 and $5 tables. Bird Bar (formerly Margaritaville) in the Flamingo frequently has both $5 BJ and Craps.

FYI, the Rio shuttle no longer exists.

NY NY advertises $5 blackjack all day. It's typically only one table and it's 6:5 but it IS $5.

The Excalibur had $5 craps tables when we were there in October, during the week, early evening. Didn't venture there this past trip so not sure if this is still the case.

I haven't been in the Royale in a long time, at least not to actually play anything of note (occasionally will run a twenty through some of the classic slots they still have). Do they have an actual $5 regular old fashioned BJ table there? Last I remember they had changed every, or almost every BJ table over to some bastardized version of the game like BJ Switch, where a $5 table is really a $10 table because you have to play two hands.

In April Harrah’s, the Linq and Flamingo all had at lesdtone $5 table every night. Caesars during the day but $10-15 for lowest in evening. The Cromwell had $5 during the day not sure about night.

Thanks all! Gives us some options. I'm primarily a slot player and don't pay too much attention to table minimums!

I was surprised to see that Casino Royale switches to $10 minimum on their craps tables on the weekend. You will find consistent $5 tables at off strip properties like Ellis Island, Hooters, Gold Coast or Orleans. Also recently found a $5 craps table at Excalibur on a Sunday night.

Excalibur has had a $5 BJ table running every time I've been there the past couple of years (I anchored down at one on a night during my trip for a couple of hours for some exciting break-even action) and I think they, like NY-NY, advertise it.

I played a ton of $5 craps at Excalibur a couple of years ago but I have not seen it when doing a random check my last couple of trips, which was a bummer.

One thing for you to watch out is the $5 BJ tables are usually 6:5 on the strip (not a true payout of 3:2 on Blackjack). Assuming regular blackjack rules, the house edge on 6:5 is 2% while on 3:2 is closer to 0.66% (assuming all other rules are identical). So your total predicted loss (i.e. theo) is actually worse playing a 6:5 $5 table as opposed to a 3:2 $10 table (although your variance is less, so your bankroll will still last longer on the $5 table).

To the best of my knowledge, I haven't seen too many $5 3:2 tables on the strip. Anyone know of any 3:2 $5 tables I would love to know. Hooters is 6:5 confirmed when I was there.

I dropped in to Park MGM on a Thursday morning in May and played a $5 3:2 table pretty close to the entrance. For some reason, I played $10 or higher anyway, lost 7 straight hands, and bounced.

Thanks for the info. That is interesting, since I would have thought if any MGM casino was offering 3:2 BJ at $5 it would be Circus or Excal. Perhaps park is trying to attract some more clientele.
