@tringlomane can probably tell you what your theo was, depends on the paytable you played. If it was 8/5, then your theo would be
    $84,000 * 0.0083 = $697.20. Spread over 4 nights, that's not that much.

If it was your first time at Cosmo, I'd expect you'll get an offer, but I wouldn't guess what it will be or when. I don't think it will take too long.

I'm pretty sure Cosmo changed their timing on offers around the time they revamped the website last summer. I'm sure it's not totally random, but it doesn't appear to be based on a regular predictable schedule for everybody like it used to be.

One tip - you reached Sterling on your visit, which gets you one tier-based comp night. Try to use it on your next trip, before you reach Gold. Then you'll get two more for reaching Gold. If you don't use the Sterling night before you reach Gold, you lose it.

Yeah if all his play is on an 8/5 Bonus game, he definitely wouldn't get much in the way of comps. But still would probably get something. Fyi @vegasbound511, Cosmo determines the exact theo for the VP game you play, so for example, playing a poorer 6/5 Bonus game (3.13% theo) will earn mailer comps almost 4 times faster than 8/5 Bonus (0.83% theo).

Thanks for the responses. Unfortunately I do not know what the odds were on the machines I was playing. It was bonus poker and it was the Ultimate X with 10 hands per spin.

Theo on that game is 1.76%, so $84,000 coin-in is $1428 theo. If 35% theo is comp value, then that's $500 worth of comps. 3 weekday room nights from that seems reasonable. Possibly weekend too. Beyond that, Im not sure what you might get.

I'm my experience that amount of theo should get offers.

I run between 500 and 1000 theo depending on the length of my trip...

I usually get 4 nights and some freeplay [which FP it seems st Cosmo is based somewhat on trip losses]

My summer offer is only 2 nights

Ok.thats my game of choice also. I do mix in some slots, but not a ton. I do about $100k coin in per trip and usually get 4 nights in a 1bdrm or terrace suite and a little freeplay and resort credit. I also seem to usually have a few hundred available for back end when needed. I'm platinum and find the benefits and comps at Cosmo for a high volume vp player are better than elsewhere on the strip in terms of real $ value.

Came on to see what’s up with my offers and found this thread and fear it happened to me on a much smaller level. I used to get $25 free play with an extra 50 if I hit 2500 points in 48 hours. Never got the bonus 50. About 2 years ago I started to try to play more there. Saw my offer bumped up to $75 FP with an extra $50 and started hitting the goal. After this March, two weeks ago, I finally got the offer I was looking for: 2 free nights on select dates, with about 4 days each month. Then last week, that offer disappeared. Then today, my $75 free play $50 bonus offers are gone. Now, the only offers I’m getting are the standard ones anyone who logs onto the website gets, ie, buy 3 the 4th night is free, 20% off and a $50 pool credit. The tightening of the belt on offers makes me think there’s something to the rumor that the Cosmo is going to be sold.

The "Cosmo is being sold" rumors have always been there since their troubled start.

One thing that is for sure, Blackstone (Who now owns it) doesn't want to be in the hotel and casino business. They are a private equity firm that saw the potential in buying Cosmo, fixing what was wrong, to eventually flip it.

I'm hearing that they hired the Deutsche Bank & PJT Partners a few weeks back. And they are not bringing them in to pick out new slots or paint colors for the rooms. Those two should be running the numbers and gauging interest in a sale for the place.

Cosmo was always going to be sold, it was just a matter of when and to whom. Blackstone is all in at $2.2BIL. That was the buy and the "fix" for the resort. If DB & PJTP do what they should be doing, Blackstone might end up doubling their money. Which was always the plan. Buy, invest and sell. Rinse and repeat.

For us, I just hope whoever buys it leaves well enough alone. If it does get sold for the projected $4BIL, the new owner will have to start pulling money out as fast as they can. And that usually means cut backs to comps, a lack of investing in the resort and a certain tightening of the machines to get themselves out of the hole as fast as they can.

I realizing I’m quoting my own post, but wanted to rescind my pseudocriticism of Cosmo. My free play offers came back last week and my free nights offer came back today with triple the dates available for comp.

You got new offers? I just hopped in my account, after seeing your post, and I'm still only showing my April-Aug, which came out last month

    Play Your Way: Valid Apr 4, 2019 - Aug 14, 2019

Everything else is just filler, "Pay for a room and get a resort credit or 20% off"

    Not actual comp offers.

Here is how I have fallen in 2019. NOT due to play mind you.

    Q4 offer:
    • $100 Dining & cocktails on us
    • $375 Identity Play
    • 2 Complimentary nights
    Q1 offer
    • $100 Dining & cocktails on us
    • $150 Identity Play
    • 3 Complimentary nights
    Q2 offer
    • $175 Identity Play
    • 3 Complimentary nights
    • $50 Dining & cocktails on us

$475 in up front comps, to $250 to $225. But with the added bonus of an extra night stay in both 2019 offers. Again, it doesn't look like I';m rated less. Just that Cosmo is moving my comp value from Dining/Free Play into an extra night stay.

I guess I angered the Cosmo slot gods too. My last trip (first winning trip in 33 years) was three weeks ago...haven’t heard a thing from Cosmo since. I usually get a new offer right away after my usual losing trips.

I can only get 3 nights with not a damn thing extra. I haven’t stayed there though, so it’s a justified pissed off Cosmo offer God.

Something that I've found a little surprising after reading through this thread is that not all offers, even those with hundreds of dollars in Identity Play and dining credit, include 4 comped nights. While I usually receive only $25 or $50 Identity Play and no dining credit with my offers, all of my offers from Cosmo during the last couple of years have consistently included 4 comped nights. It's pretty clear that players receiving hundreds of dollars in Identity Play and dining credit are playing at much higher levels than I am, yet some of those offers include only 2 or 3 comped nights instead of 4 nights.

I guess it might have to do with a player's history of trip length and nights spent at the resort. When I visit, I always take advantage of all 4 comped nights offered, then I also book 2 or 3 extra nights at casino rate. On the other hand, if Cosmo's tracking system notices that a player's visits are usually only 2 or 3 nights, I suppose the number of nights offered may be adjusted accordingly.

Guess I spoke too soon...just checked my offers and did get a new one... $1550 identity play, 4 nights, $300 FB. I’m happy even though my identity play is $150 less.

I think the generosity of nights also has to do with 2 other things:

    - geography. The further away you live, the more nights they're willing to throw your way to convince you to make the longer trip there (and thus offset the longer airfare a bit)

    - the desire to keep you on their resort for a whole Vegas trip. A lot of their recent investments in restaurants (like Block 16) prove that they really want to keep people there as much as possible. They throw you a free night, you order drinks/go to their restaurants/gamble, they're still making money off most people.

fwiw, my offers went back to the previous levels. Must just have been the popular March/April time frame.

I did get new offers. I lost all of them, the free play came back the same and then the free room offer came back with a lot more comp nights available.
