My wife and I have had varying debates on Vegas with Kids. She has been in the strong no camp and I have been in it depends camp. Well this November depending on the cruise offer we get from the cosmo we may bring our 7 year old. We plan to do a Norwegian Cruise to Alaska in 2020 and figure if I can get a balcony it will be worth it to make it out to Vegas.

The tentative plan is to not stay at the cosmo and stay at Red Rock. The Red Rock atmosphere in my opinion is a bit more laid back than the party atmosphere at cosmo. We would get in on Thursday afternoon and leave Sunday afternoon. We have rented a car really cheap for 115 dollars and that is locked in. I plan to take her to a show and do some sight seeing. We may also go to one fancy dinner. My daughter likes fancy steak. Please provide any input you may have regarding things to do. I am going to list some things I planned on. Thinking of double booking cosmo one night. Have the balcony and watch the Bellagio fountain show but not sure.

    1. Red Rock Park. Drive in and walk around a bit.
    2. Hoover Damn
    3. Valley of Fire state Park
    4. Blue Man group or Mystere for a vegas show
    5. Daughter wants mini golf. I see there is a bunch of options to chose from
    6. Fancy steak and somewhere new to try. We mainly eat at cosmo. Thinking of Honey Salt(Googled great kid options) I have also read it is pretty good place to go. Maybe Joe's Stone crab for steak/seafood- Love the one in Chicago
    7. Neon Museum
    8. Bellagio Fountain.

You could also do the high roller, non drinking one, if she isn't afraid of heights. There is also a kid park in container park that has a play zone and tree house for kids. Also Mat Franco if she likes magic. His show is family friendly. And maybe secret garden for tigers and dolphins.

High Roller, Secret Garden at Mirage, Shark reef at Mandalay Bay, bellaigo fountains, Conservatory at Bellagio, pool day. Since you're at Red Rock you've got bowling and the theater too. I always hear container park is great for little ones but we haven't done that one yet.

We took our daughter's in January due to a cheerleading competition being held at the Orleans. We stayed at Vdara and mostly walked the strip during the day. We did the Secret Garden, NYNY arcade, M&M place, Hershey place, Rain Forest Cafe, Bellagio fountains, high roller and mini golf. The girls loved Circus Circus the most and can't wait to go back to it.

If your 7 year old is into video and/or redemption games, the Cyber Quest arcade at Red Rock casino is a huge upgrade over the old Namco arcade that used to be there. You could also exit Red Rock from the food court and walk south to the Downtown Summerlin shopping center, where there are lots of options for food as well as a Dave & Buster's.

She's probably not a hockey fan, but when they're home the Golden Knights do their morning practice skate at a rink literally across the street from Red Rock. It's a neat experience and it's free!

Sugar Factory will make any of their candy filled goblet drinks non-alcoholic. You can ask that any alcohol that was going to be poured in there to be served on the side for you

Not that i'd love to advocate entering Circus Circus, but the Adventuredome has a lot of options for a kid to do. Rides, Arcade, show..etc. I had a family trip a year and a half ago, and we did the following, and the kids seemed to have a great time. (This was with 2 11 year olds and a 2 year old , all girls).

-Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (girls thought it was ok, got a little bored with it)
-Secret Garden (liked the Dolphins, but were concerned for the Lions/Tigers)
-M&M Store (loved the personalized M&M's)
-Coca Cola store (but went too late to try the international coca cola flights)
    -Adventuredome (had lots of fun)
-NYNY Arcade (loved that one, much more than the outdated Excalibur Arcade)
-Mini strip walk, watched the fountains, the Linq, got cupcakes from the ATM at Sprinkles.
-A day at the Excalibur Pool (pretty kid friendly)
    -Buffet

If they have played pinball before and liked it, absolutely. But there are also other old school arcade games there that they are very likely to enjoy.
