Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving from Harrahs Laughlin

It was odd. Fortunately, no one asked for money .

The bus WiFi wasn’t working and there were too many no cell zones in remote areas on the way home for me to finish yesterday.

I remember my mom sharing that when she drank the sugar from the wine or alcohol would metabolize in a way that she’d wake up early and not be able to go back to sleep.

I wake up way too early Friday and can’t go back to sleep. No hangover, no headache, just feeling a tad hyper. I try watching local Vegas news on TV hoping I’ll get bored and go back to sleep. That didn’t work.

So, I throw on some clothes and go downstairs. I want to use reward credits to pay for a room charge so the balance will be 0 when I check out later in the day. I swipe my card at the kiosk and print a fsp voucher. I turn 35 fsp into 27 cash. I lost playing Cashman Tonight and did okay playing nickel and dime stp. I play a tad more and am back in the room before 5:30.

I was curious about the weather. A very slight chance of rain was forecast for Laughlin. Phoenix was pummeled with an early morning thunderstorm.

I get cleaned up for the day, pack and walk around the property. It’s beautiful outside. I go back to the room and am bored. I check out around 10:30 then play stp one final time before going to eat.

I use the free buffet coupon they gave us for brunch. Being the day after Thanksgiving, they had some of the items offered at the Thanksgiving Brunch available including turkey, ham and roast beef at the carving station .

A slight chance of rain was forecast for Laughlin. There was one cloud. ONE Cloud that showed up when it was time to board the bus. Thankfully, I wore a long sleeve t-shirt under my sweater so I didn’t have to wear a wet sweater on the bus.

The driver just brought a group from the Phoenix area to Laughlin. Said the roads and weather was fine. See the cloud across the river? I think it was part of the storm we drove through.



The bus stops in Wikieup. I swear that cloud followed us to Wikieup. Right after I boarded, it began raining.

One of the nice things about taking the bus charter was I wasn’t charged a resort fee. I did charge 24 hours of internet to my room.

Another was the monthly fsp and dining credit were available. I mention this because the fine print of the flight charters say one cannot use them with any other offer. I’m not 100% sure if this applies to monthly items or specific offers.

Anyone interested in staying at Harrahs Laughlin, the rooms look like the pictures on the internet. The South Tower rooms were recently remodeled and are similar to Harrahs LV Valley Tower rooms. The North Tower is the family tower. Unless you have a suite, I recommend staying in the South or Central Tower. I like they have an adult only pool and a family pool. The pool in my first photo is the family pool. Know that Laughlin isn’t Vegas.
