Cosmo Cabana prices - is this normal?!

I booked for June. Lower level for $100 couldn't resist but it did ask for my credit card before booking was confirmed so I gave it. I'll watch and see if I get charged or not.

 

You have to prepay in full... gratuities and all. I've always had to prepay in full... even when going through cabana sales. That may be different based on the day of the week... we always do Friday/Saturday though.

I would assume your host could set it up without prepaying, but I've never had a host.

 

Hmm, they never charged me before. I booked on my own once, and also had my host do it once. The only thing they ever asked for was my hotel confirmation. When I got there in the morning to check in they asked if I wanted to do a CC or a room charge for it. Pretty sure I've always done a Friday or Saturday too.

 

If you book it online there is no option but for it to be charged in full to your credit card. It asks for the card before a confirmation is created. I also tried once to get my host to book it for me but she said I had to do it online and pre-pay. The only time I was able to charge it to my room was when it was booked on the same day. Called down that morning to see if the Cabana we like was available and asked for it to be charged to my room.

 

We were charged when @MrsPTD booked her two pool days for June, pretty sure it was the same last year?

 

I've either booked same day and charged to room or booked in advance and prepaid the whole thing. I wish there was an option to cancel but I get why they can't-people would prebook and cancel all season. But I can't book if I'm not completely sure I'll be there.

 

What do you mean? It is fully refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of your reservation. I had a cabana booked last June and had to cancel close to my trip was fully refunded. I also just booked for a group a few weeks ago and I specifically asked about being able to cancel for a refund and was told yes.

 

I swear I read that it's 100% penalty if you cancel-this is good news.

 

Always looked within the 48 hours timeframe because that’s when I check the weather. This is better. Now I decide where I want to sit in case I actually go.
