Vegas better be pretty much business as usual by September. I may sneak in a weekend trip before then depending on how things go, but I'm locked in to September 19-23rd in a Cosmo Terrace Suite. First time in that room type, it was free to book online so I just did it to try something different.

There's supposed to be a work event there that week, but even if that gets cancelled I'll be going, unless for some god forsaken reason Vegas is still locked down.

I am thinking of a possible Sept trip, with Oct as a backup.
As a degen as I am (last year I had at least 1 trip for every single month), I can't think of anything before Sept.
Not sure if this year's Life is Beautiful will be cancelled.

not to be a kill-joy, but I doubt they will allow groups of more than 50 people for quite a long time. How would they possibly screen people from over 150 countries from coming into Vegas and now some will always have fear and anxiety no matter what actions are put into place. If Vegas plunges to 50% occupancy how would it survive? Can a foreign tourist be guaranteed not to have some kind of virus in them.??

I'm not smart enough, but I think it is to open 100% and let the chips fall as they may, or have 100 rules that will keep people away and then Vegas won't really be Vegas anymore..

I got the derby for September now... And I am like 50/50 at this point if it will happen with fans.

I plan on going to Vegas in October/November. I hope it is good to go by then for all of our sake.

I've seen a terrace suite they are fantastic

I'll be really mad if I go 0/2 on the Lanai Suite and the Terrace Suite back to back

For the companies involved, it is a busines decision.
If they open 100% and visitation below 50% of what before the virus, many companies will bankrupt in a few months.
I read report that airlines are predicting long lasting decline of air travel, which translates
into very bad news for Vegas or any tourist destinations.

Right now, people only see the effects of the mandatory closure or stay-at-home orders.
The economic impact is far far bigger than that, and it will directly affect the tourism industry,
    particularly Vegas down the road.
In my view, the future is as bleak as I can imagine.

We have a trip planned for the first few days in September, right before Labor Day weekend. Aria sky suite. Mint seats on JetBlue. In addition to being luxurious, we think those plans shade the odds slightly in our favor with respect to crowds and social distancing. The sky suites get us an exclusive access pool and lounge, private transit to and from the airport, etc. Flying Mint gives us more social distance on the plane.

I really hope we actually take the trip, since it’s a rain check on our 20th wedding anniversary trip that would be happening in May. Our bet is that by September the Strip will be open and the “new normal” will be figured out. But who really knows? At least we have something happy to look forward to through the summer months. And everything is cancellable if we need to do that.

Supposed to be flying in from the UK on Sep 6, initially to the Bellagio for one week.

I have no misconceptions that things will be “the same” but we’ll make the best of it. To Palm Springs for a week and then back for a further week at Bellagio

My only concern is the flights from the UK

I think the Sky Suites lounge will look a bit different but IMO it may be a good thing ie: servers bringing everything rather than self serve.

We are booked Sept. 23 to 26th at Cosmo. I feel like things should be mellowed out a lot by then but after reading all the comments here Im odd gal out. Nonetheless I like having something to look forward to and after cancelling our June trip for our 10th anniversary and my 47th birthday I need that.

Mexican Independence Day falls on a Wednesday. We’d planned on going either the weekend before or after. It all depended on the concerts, Djs, and fight (boxing) date. Without at least one of the three, we probably won’t go. The guy I’m dating doesn’t gamble so he said if the entire trip is going to involve lounging by the pool and watching me play slots, he’d rather go to Miami so we can go to the Hard Rock for a few hours during the day and South Beach at night. My employer has also extended our work from home until the Wednesday after Labor Day so I may be extremely busy with work that month. There’s also the Coronavirus issue, but I’m sure that the other scenarios mentioned won’t make a Vegas trip in September possible.

Most pundits predict that live events: concerts, fightings, night clubs etc are out of the question this year.
In addition to guests' health concern, there is also liability issue for the organizers.
Even if I go to Vegas this year, I would not plan my schedule based on any those kind of events.
