Driving to Vegas is something I have always wanted to do but then I think about how rough I feel at the end of a trip. I would dread the drive back big time!!!

Looking forward to all the shenanigans this family can get into....

Beejay! Family vaca, ok. What an adventure! I say have the 15 yo drive then whole way. Should be ready to pass his drivers test sheet that 1000 miles jaunt. Have fun my friend, good luck, and may the force be with you. If it wasn't for this fricken retna tear and impending eye surgery I'd be there.
Habibi hugs all around! No don't do that lol..

This is so exciting! I'm looking forward to following along, as I know there will be food, slot, and highway porn, and a lot to laugh about by the time you make it back home. Even more exciting is to see a post from @PACKER after a long time out, so congratulations for the thread that brought him back!

(Edited to tell @PACKER that I'm sorry to hear about that retina tear, and the frustrating "positioning" that comes post-surgery.)

You know last time we went to Vegas we ended up driving to L.A.---if you hadn't torn that eyeball on the cracked glass at the Gucci Store during the riots we would be right over to check out your new bags! :) Agree on that 15 year old!! She's always asking to drive, now she can STFU and drive FOREVS!!!!

1,000 miles straight up to Denver first day. It says 14:39. I did it in 14:02 solo myself before. That's faster than Han Solo did the Kessel Run! So it should be easy money. Stop at Runza in Lincoln, Grand Hyatt in downtown Denver, then an easy 10 hours second day through the Rockies and Utah which is a beautiful drive---fam has never done that so I'm sure they will enjoy! I think its a total of 26 hours. Thank god for airpods!

Isn't "highway porn" just a classier term for sex in a limo?

We did the roadtrip from Seattle to Vegas when my son was on his learners permit. Came in handy on the start of the return when we were exhausted. He wasn't a fan of the long straight flat deserted stretches. "This is boring!". We told him to basically run about 5mph over the limit, but in Oregon on the way back with the 80mph limits I told him that was fast enough.

My wife and I dove to Vegas one time from Texas The drive to Vegas was nice as we took interstate 40 through the mountains in Arizona. We stayed the night in Flagstaff and then drive to Vegas the next day.

The return trip sucked. The 2 hours time difference was great on the way to Vegas, but caught up with us in the return trip.
