Well, let’s just say it was pretty exciting for the last 45 minutes of that third session. I paid back the $65k in markers and had quite a stack of white chips and “yeller” chips. Finally I lost 2 x $10k bets and decided a smart person would cash in. Color me up again! The lucksack (mask) wins again! I asked the supervisor if she thought I could sell that mask for big bucks to a high roller and she said “not unless you wash it first”.

I did make it to SW. In fact I was 10 or 15 minutes early for my reservation. They give you a little cardboard thingy to lay your face mask on. Dinner was bone in ribeye medium, a pound of king crab (mansion style) and a side of au gratin potatoes. Good as always!

I left SW and walked to the HL room at Encore to my goodbyes (they were surprised I wasn’t going to play). Got in the rental car and decided to drive the strip since traffic was light. If not for a couple very long stoplights I would have been all the way to Mandalay Bay in under 10 minutes. One other person in return shuttle to airport. No one in airport security line. Flight home on SWA was fine.

Although I won big, Vegas just wasn’t the same for me. The travel wasn’t that fun. Everyone in masks wasn’t fun. The plexiglass wasn’t fun. I’m not sure I’ll be back until it’s closer to normal (or until the next gift card offer comes along ).

I don’t like to write this, but it’s how I feel having been there for a day.

Big part about Vegas, beside the gambling, is socializing. Run into people, fist pump when things hits, share drinks and the whole vegas air. I have seen the plexiglass divider set up on blackjack tables and it definately does not promote connection forming and make it more like work, as in you are there to do the job which is play. Not much socializing possible. Slots are loner game so it is not affected as much by such measures. Actually I do like having space between machines next to me because I get bothered a lot when I play.
Anyway, F'crazy trip in a VERY good way. Congrats and thanks for sharing. Food looks amazing too. For food and drinks, I do miss Vegas.

I bow down to you. I can't even get my mind around those numbers, but I loved this trip report and found myself holding my breath as you left us in suspense from one post to the next. Thank you for taking the time to share the play-by-play. (The SW dinner looked delicious, too!)

Do you have a typical strategy when you sit down? Or is it just bet "small" until you get behind and then say F it and push out table max and flat bet from then on?
