What do you guys like at Crack Shack? The Coop Deville and Firebird sandwiches both look fantastic.

My 1st time. I got the Firebird. It was ok.I added bacon and cheese to it. Did't think it was spicy at all. I also got fries and the slaw. The slaw is awesome. It has pickles and other stuff. Pretty soupy but I like that. I also got the DoubleClucker but will eat that later tonight. I'd like to try the Senor croque another time.

My wife and I are going to Vegas in 2 days. I did not read every post but is anyone down there now and if so how is it? Crowded or not? Restaurants open or not? Boring or not? We will be there for 7 or 8 days and are not really sure what we will be doing lol. We are staying at the Aria, Paris, and Mgm.

During the week, not crowded at all.

Restaurants is highly variable. At Aria, for example, on a random weekday afternoon, it's pretty much just Salt & Ivy and Javier's. Hours are limited and I would just be prepared to (1) call ahead, and (2) expect places to be closed. During the evenings, it's more open, but many places aren't open during the week.

Boring is in the eye of the beholder. I still love it, even if quiet.

I agree....its a gamble and we weigh the amount of risk. Eat carry out or on patios where they have spaced apart the tables. I for one do not take my mask off unless in my room. Period. Outside walking by folks, in the pool, I am masked. Unfortunately it's how it works.

That's exactly what my older gambling from from AZ does. I'm still not there with respect to feeling comfortable going there. Likely the main reason is that I get sick just about every time I go to the Aria. I've always felt it was because of the general nature of the international clientele at Aria - being exposed to so many germs from all over the world. I can't risk getting pneumonia again (which I did get from my Feb trip) so I'm still 99% sure that I'm not going.

For whatever it's worth, I saw no disrespect whatsoever of other opinions in the original post. I think the problem (EDIT: I have no idea where that sentence fragment came from). That said, I do think everyone needs to recognize that it's not just about themselves (not you specifically, because your recommendations are spot-on, but commentators have been framing this as a purely personal choice, which it's not). And to be fair, the assumption that we're all responsible is unfortunately not a reasonable one these days. Either way, I just hope the world can sort itself out soon!

I’m here now. I actually like it. There are people, but not an overwhelming amount of crowds.

I'll say that the photos I've seen of the Strip from the last couple days have been a little disturbing. I can't locate it now, but there was one from outside Casino Royale that was absolutely packed. But if you pick a resort you trust and stay inside there, you should be okay.

This is why the Mrs said only weekdays. If I have to eat crack shack, Hattie b’s and moon palace all week I can make that trade off for lower crowds

Makes sense. You also might want to pick a place with less foot traffic, like Aria or Mandalay Bay. I was at Aria on Thursday afternoon and there were like ten people in the entire place.

I'm still bumming that I've opted not to go on the 11th. Hope there's therapeutics before my October trip :)

I saw a news piece yesterday on the rapid progress being made with antibody serums. They could be approved by the fall.

So I’ve decided in my mind that the new Vegas is kinda like giving birth... you SWEAR TO GOD you’ll never do it again , and then time moves forward and you “ forget” and bam back at the hospital SWEARING NEVER AGAIN.....AGAIN LOL.
When we left early July clearly Vegas was on the struggle bus having just enforced a mask mandate ( before anyone starts in... I have zero issue with masks) but I did have issue with the *tap *tap *tap on my shoulder every damn time I lowered my mask to have a sip of my drink or a puff of my cig, while joe blow 3 machines over was wearing one like a chin strap.... lol. I swore I wouldn’t go back until things cleared up.... now here I am, trying to convince hubs to go at the end of aug for his 50th bday .... guess there’s a reason I had two kids LOL ... I forget too easily or recently just reread a couple TR’s ..... either way I still am ready to go back!!!

They actually tapped your shoulder? I hate anyone doing that! Reminds me of my teaching days when the kids would tap me when I was talking to someone else. Ha.
