And so it begins...

 

Quick update. Double downs are killing me. Got down $10k fast, then another $20k down. And then another $20k. My line is $50k, so that burned through my line, but I had my last $8k on a hand and needed to double, so they made a phone call and gave me the $8k I needed to double. Of course I lost, so I took a TTO up to $85k and had another $27k to play with. I got down to my last $3500 and made a good comeback and made it back to even. Unfortunately, playing two hands of $10k each and having a double on one of the hands can chew through $85k pretty quick when the dealer keeps drawing to 21. Currently down the $85k and looking for one more TTO for another $40k.

 

Waiting for my host to respond to the host on duty regarding the TTO. While waiting, I ran over to the Rolex store to use my gift cards. It is 10:15am and they don’t open until 11am apparently. I have made arrangements to use the gift card to “special order” a watch. That just means the money is on deposit until the watch I want comes in (probably a 41mm datejust).

 

OK. Went and ate breakfast at Jardin. Nothing special, but I was famished. I got the steak and eggs. After I ate I went back and checked with the host on duty and he said they got a hold of my host and she authorized the TTO up to $125k, so I had another $40k in bullets.

I went back to the Encore HL room to sit at the same BJ table from earlier. I took out $10k to start and the first hand was two hands of $5k each. One of the hands I needed to double so I had to ask for another $5k in a table marker. I won that hand, so a good start. Paid back the table marker and had $25k in chips in front of me and $95k worth of markers...

 

I did get some decent hands, but nothing too great on that shoe, but I did end the shoe higher and eventually paid back the latest $10k marker.
