Thanks for the birthday wishes and same to you as well. Sorry you weren't able to make your trip, hopefully you're able to make up for it later. For me it was an option to come down a month later and my folks might have come with but it seems more special to be here on the actual day.

 

Yes I'm pretty happy being down just a couple hundred at this point given how much gambling time there's been. I'm definitely not complaining about that.

I think the machines these days have just become so volatile that there's so much time spent on the dead spins and dead bonuses that from a time perspective the thrills of the big wins represent such a small percentage of time compared to the frustration of very low returns on most of the spins. It's definitely much more likely to go on a bad run and then run out of bullets before hitting that big one to turn it around. I'm lucky enough to have hit those big ones early - and often enough - so fingers crossed to keep that going today!

I can feel the VP players saying - hey, play VP then there's less volatility! I know I will today.

 

It is a great song, but I'm confused by why "Time to say goodbye" would be a wedding song? Seems like more of a really beautiful and operatic break-up song?

 

No idea where I added "jagoff" to my vocabulary, but truth be told, I did actually visit Pittsburgh while at school. The best man at my wedding and fellow pitcher on the Ohio baseball team was from PA, and the two of us broke curfew and went to go watch a Penguins game one night. Mike Zigomanis is another buddy of mine that I played hockey with back in 99-00 in the OHL, and he was on the Penguins roster at the time so he got us tickets. 2 rows up from the glass - it was pretty sweet. That was back when they were still at Melon arena (the new one was under construction). Good times.
