They have this at Winstar as well... up to $3,000 but the fee was about $15 per $1,000 withdrawn.

How do you get cash with a debit card at the cage? I keep toying with different ways of avoiding brining large amounts of cash on the plane with me. Last few trips I have taken the bus to Chase Bank and ubered back to the casino from the supermarket in the parking lot (this is my way of avoiding having uber driver I am going to the bank or have just come from the bank).

Rather not open a credit limit with casino and have it on credit report. Wire transfer up front also seems reasonable, might consider that in a few weeks at Aria.

Years ago when I first started going to Vegas, I cashed a personal check at TI. Turns out the company they used at the time to verify funds had a data breach so I don't trust that method anymore. Also my play level and "budget" has gone up considerably since my early Vegas days.

I use the debit card at the atm which gives you a slip to take to the cage. Otherwise there’s a $500 limit on cash withdrawals from the atm.

I'm a super nit compared to all of you. I try to limit losses to about $100 max a day. My main goal is to be drunk compliments of the casinos.

Most banks allow you to change your ATM withdraw limits too. Might be worth considering. The standard Chase limit Is $500 or $800, but I can make it as much as $3k if I ask. Less fees if you bump your limit before a trip.

I generally take my BR as cash though, which I like to be $1k per day...and then I blow that within the first 36-48 hours and hit the ATM lol

I think you can alao do an ACH deposit to the casino too. I've not done it, but I thought they did a withdrawal from your checking account and then you'd have that amount available. Similar to the front but they're actually getting the full deposit before you arrive. Not counting on a check to arrive with you

I was told by CET member that if you're diamond , you can get withdraw fee back as fp if you do it at their counter.

I'm mlife member So I cannot confirm if this is true.

We are micro rollers too, but I enjoy it this way! 300 per person per day, and if we just have a bad day gambling, we spend time in the room, walk around, eat some good food, etc :)

I'm in the same boat, except my other half doesn't even like to gamble, which is good as it cuts down on my time losing money.....so I try and stretch a grand or two over four or five days on my own, usually sticking to $2-$4 bets and see how it goes. We have as much fun going on fremont, getting hammered and roaming around to the stages and walking around the casinos..throw a few bucks in machines here and there but no long gambling sessions on those nights.

    Honestly it's better!
In " casino Beauregard Namur" in Belgium, at the cage you can get cash advance with credit/ debit card with NO FEE, the first time I asked to the cashier " how much", he answered to me" the limit of your credit card" , so 3000€/card ... Too dangerous for me....

My experience is here in the US, the "cash advance" option has a higher fee, based on a % of the transaction. No matter whether you do it at the atm or cage. Selecting it as an "atm" transaction at the atm is a cheaper, flat fee.

My budget is $1k per day, but once I lose $500-$600 I’ll shut it down for the day. My trips are in the 10-12 day range so it’s not a biggie for me to find something else to do for the rest of the day. I’ve never had fun when I’ve been in the “chasing” mode so I just live to fight another day.

It is funny and interesting to read through this thread. I'm glad that I did before posting my two cent. You've all given me several thoughts to share.

    1. Funny how my BR for a 4 day trip has gone from $700 day to $2000 a day over the past 8-10 years. Must be inflation :) :) I always bring cash, including an envelope with 40 $1 bills for cocktail and Fiji tipping
    2. I've never lost my BR but have been known to hit the ATM when I'm too lazy to go upstairs and reload Benjamins. This extra money is not counted in my net BR upon return as I've never lost the extra either.
    3. I usually bet between 2-10 a spin and mostly stick to the X2 X3 on Aristocrats - my go to machines.
    4. I can get $2,000 day using my Debit card - you just need to have your bank up the limit. My limit is now permanent. It used to be set higher each trip for those specific days
    5. I don't limit myself to the $2,000 per day - my BR is for the trip. I've also never had to stop playing on a bad day - even trips like the last one where the Dark Cloud was with me for the entire trip. As we all know - the BR can go down really fast when you're only able to get a TITO over $300 once over 4 days. We've all had these kind of trips. Luckily it doesn't often happen, otherwise there wouldn't be many VFers left to post.
    6. Because I don't have a local, Vegas is my local so I slot all day long - from 5AM until 7-10pm. I especially enjoy the quiet of the relatively empty casino floor at 5AM. I just got used to saying "no thanks" to the solicitation offers that invariably come between 5 and 6 am.
Oh year - as most of you know - I love Aria and only stay there. I do play some at Bellagio, Cosmo and Park but for the most part can be found on one of the many Wonder 4 variants at Aria.

GLTA - One more month until my 6/13-6/17 trip.

I:m off to Tampa Hard Rock this morning for a brief stop on the way to the Aquarium. BR is $1,000 but I won't allow them to suck all of the Benjamins out of my billfold.

Have to laugh at how several of us started off. We too on our first trip in 96 brought a hundo each day. Thought it was huge. Lol. Then again, everything was coin and you could take hours playing single line quarter video poker. We had a practice that if we won anything over our initial 5 coin bet, cash out and put the “ wins” in your cup. Lol. Ahh how it’s changed. We are still low rollers... so our daily is 1500 between the two of us with additional tip money and the ability to hit the atm if a day goes south for another 500. We take the initial in cash, in our own envelopes.... we don’t share gambling money well. Haha. We find that this amount lets us play for hours. But at our low roller level :) ask @CosmoGrlxo ... sat with her for a quick session playing 5.00 a spin and was shitting myself. Haha.

Depends on how long I'm in town for. Between $1K and $1,500 per day. But, I have gone over and taken from the next days stash. I try to stick within budget, or I can go on tilt too easily.

My budget does NOT take into account free play. That is above and beyond "my" money. That is to say, money I brought with me. If I turn my $500 in free play into whatever, that money gets added to my day 1 bankroll.

Also, any money I win on any given day DOES go into the next days bankroll. IE, if I have $1,000 on day one, but I win $500. I do bank $1,000 (usually) from leftover day 1 pile, and add $500 into my day 2 as a reward for being a winner.

Any money left from any days, with the exception of won money over that days bankroll, goes to the side to go home with.

I have used this money management method for 20 years, and it works for me. If my money goes too quickly, i will sit on a low variance slot or play video poker to fill in the day.

I don’t even think I have a method lol. When I come for a hit and run I don’t bring more than $1500..When I stay for longer than 3 days I start with a bankroll of $3000. From there I go aggressive on the freeplay usually always run through the first $1500 of BR, and by the last couple hundred I end up doubling or tripling my BR. From there it’s an up and down..get down to the nitty gritty..come up hard..have a heart attack..then walk away thanking the lord I made a nice comeback and hide away in the room away from the slots until it’s time to leave...no method..just stupidity, fun and a whole lot of luck...until the next trip...
