Pretty sure Adam Sandler is also on that mural in WWW! I know how to get between the 2 properties, I just didn't know if they erected a wall to keep each other out.

Normally I have $250 in free play to get me going. But if they dont have any promos up when we get there, that will suck for me as its a good 10% of my gambling budget

Shame for the shuttle, but I'm glad you said something. I took the Jitney once years ago to and from the Boardwalk. I wont make that mistake again. Took forever and a day, and the passengers were very colorful. Still would come out to $5.00 for me and Pops VS $13 for a cab. But that cab ends up being $20 with tip, and I have never once ridden in anything but a beat up piece of shit cab in AC LOL

I don't ride share, so it looks like the cabbies will win out here. We are both blue collar, and wouldn't be eating at any of the better establishments. If Amphora or Bread & Butter are too packed, might hit the food court even with the 2 for 1 express comps insult.

Check out The Metropolitan, 1-1 comps, no pinkies up here, but they serve on real plates with silverware. I think they use paper napkins, though. Good Burgers and a decent rendition of a Philly Cheesesteak or Chicken Cheesesteak.

Now that CET has Tropicana, Caesars, and Harrah's, they couldn't be more spread out. So between Diamonds taking priority, the longer trip and the service delays, I never used the shuttle. Haven't used the Jitney since the 1980's, but I'm sure being from Chicago you've been exposed to some unique folks. I take the #3 bus down Michigan Ave. or the Red and Green lines when visiting your town and it's an experience.

That one was for others on the board who may be following this thread.

I like the Metro! And I looked into it, but only the 4 high end places in the Borg are taking reservations right now. Metro, not so much.

The plan would have been, to walk to Harrahs and play. Use them to drive me to the Trop via the shuttle, where I could play there and walk over to Caesars, and shuttle back over to Harrahs to walk home to the Borgata.

Cabs will win out here. I don't think my old man has it in him to walk from Oceans to the Trop. But at least being on the boards from the Trop to WWW is better than nothing!

And yeah, for sure CTA (Public Transit) in Chicago is an adventure!

Grid, Pops might like the like to take the scenic route via the Boardwalk Tram, $4 one way. It runs from the Closed Atlantic Club to Ocean.

Only the four high end restaurants take reservations, the casual places are all waitlist unless you have priority. The metro has limited hours and isn’t open everyday, so make sure to check on that. Noodles of the world is open frequently and is quite good and can be an option. There’s also BetMGM sportsbook, which has a bunch of tables and a decent menu of some stuff.

Lastly, if it’s too hard to get a table, you can get metro/noodles/B&B to go, should be 1-1 on your express comps, then just bring it down to the food court, grab a table, and eat it there. You’ll have better food, better value, and same ambiance.

Was at Caesars on Friday April 2nd. I like to play slots early in the morning, so I arrived @ 7 am; there were very few people on the casino floor, no more than 10 on the upper floor. Around 10:30 I was in the HL slot area and was all by myself. By 1 pm it was too busy for me so I left for home.
Every other slot machine is still turned off, these have a strap across the seat to discourage folks from sitting. Although, I did notice the Munchinland single slots sitting side by side were both operational(a change from a month ago).
There are very limited dining options at Caesars during the week. For lunch the only place open is Gordon Ramsey Pub and I would recommend a reservation. Tazza offers snacks/coffee for takeout but without a room that's not really an option. Tropicana has more restaurants open. My advice if your heading in for the day is to stop at a diner for breakfast on the drive in.
You can still walk from Caesars to Ballys without going outside. Ballys' is tier matching. I went to the Ballys' desk to get my new card and they matched my 7stars with a Bally's red card. It will be interesting to see what benefits they offer. Comped rooms aren't really a benefit; the rooms are awful; small, dated and badly in need of a refurbishment.
I do like the aristocrat machines at Ballys so I always drop in to play; walking dead, game of thrones, etc. While playing the Big Bang slot at Ballys, tucked away in a corner, a cocktail waitress approached, greeted me by name and asked if I would like a drink. Hopefully this is a sign that customer service is going to be a priority for the new owners. I also noticed some new slot machines.

    Thanks Min!

Looks like we would be staying at the Borg for a couple nights, and bumming out on the Boardwalk for most of a day.

Outside of a handful of old Spin and Win mechanical slots, there really wasn't much for me at Ballys whenever Id drop in.

Now the Trop, I love. I used to stay there as my go to before Borgata started offered free flights to us. I haven't hunkered down to play there in years, but they always seemed to have every game I wanted to play. After not showing up for a good 3 years, they cut me off from any offers. I will have to drop in, now that my Total Rewards card will work there.

I like how they can switch programs in 72 hours. But going from half Mlife to full Mlife at the Borg will take a couple weeks LOL

I'm glad that the Trop is still offering free play right up until the deadline. And here I am, with nothing in my Borgata account except my free room. I thought for sure, with less than 2 weeks until May, I'd at least see some May offers in there. Nope!

I was down there a week ago or so, spoke to my host and he said that all promotions are suspended until after the change. They aren't even doing the drawings for $777 in freeplay every 10 minutes and other things that they normally would. It's a pretty major change during one of the slowest months of the year, so no offers for now.

I was just hoping, with the changeover switch being flipped on April 28th, that they would at least offer something starting in May. What would their excuse be to not do so? Everything should be online by April 29th, from what they have told us.

I just had to quote this idiot above!

Got back from AC on Sunday, just posted my trip report in the Non Vegas thread.

To say "everything should be online by April 29th" did not turn out to be true. Despite what my host, and the publicity machine at Borgata spat out when asked.

When we got there on April 30th, only 25% of the casino was open. The rest was all roped off, and the machines were popped open.

Out of that 25%, half were still shut off for social distancing. IE, less than 13% (both numbers a guess, but really seemed about right) were actually playable,.

And as for my host saying that the May offers will be back, they are! Starting today, and not May 1st or 2nd when i was actually there.

They did open up a few more sections of the casino by the time we left at 4PM on Sunday. But that maybe got half of the slots in the casino back up and running. With still half of those shut off to socially distance.

    Lame!
