When I stayed at Mandalay Bay back in June, a couple times someone got on the elevator and tried using the digital key app on their phone, to trigger the floor buttons that only work when you hold your room key to the pad.

Either the bluetooth wasn't working in the elevators (which is how I understand those virtual keys work via the app on your phone) or, only the rooms themselves open up with the app, and the elevators don't work like that.

Both times I gave an extra tap with my actual key card so they could hit their floor numbers. But if the elevators dont work with the app, just your room, that is a pain in the asshole for those without actual room cards!

Hey folks. Vegas ate us today/yesterday. Kahlua in the coffee —> Morning Bloody Mary’s —> Fireball Shots all before noon…

Crashed this afternoon and slept through our dinner rezy at SushiSamba. No worries though all good.

Played all morning on the first hundred. Love it when that happens.

7 - 4OAKs, 2 premium and another straight flush (on the draw no less). Technically -$20 for the day but let’s call it about even.

This was my lone legitimate shot to complete the quest...

They “work” in the elevator as well... about 80% of the time. Both in June and July we had to have actual keys for back up.

    Bathroom Talk

We have always loved the attention to detail at Palazzo. Seven flowerettes in the bathroom wallpaper for example.

Resorts World does not suck. Chill vibe. Problems with the draft temp being warm but Space Dust from the bottle spot on.

Comped for VP players at the bar. Standard $20 in $1.00 average bet. Bartender said management is laid back. First 2 weeks after opening were busy, now not so much. We were his first customers of the day and we arrived at about 930.

Current situation. Fought through it and successfully picked up our orders. Back to Palazzo down $150.

Wow, I know it was a Tuesday morning but that doesn't sound good being so slow and quiet at RW. Genting has very deep pockets, they may need it here if their plans on being a huge entertainment draw don't pan out with the resurgence of the virus. I certainly hope the north end continues its growth and reach and international travelers and conventions ramp up again in our murky future.

We walked from Palazzo to Resorts via Wynn and Encore. If you exit Encore you basically cross the street and you are at Resorts. Convenient. We had signed up for Genting rewards online and was told to use the kiosk to get our cards. The kiosk gave us the finger and told us to see a human. So much for technology.

After spending a couple of hours gambling at Resorts World we got lunch to go using the kiosk system. You can order from any of the restaurants in the food court and pay at the kiosk without human being interaction. We ordered from 3 different places; Nori Bar (Sushi), Blood Bros. BBQ (Worst Restaurant Name Ever), and Googgle Man (WTF?) Noodles. Got a text when each order was ready and had to go to each place to pick up. The entrance is close to the food court and we had no issues getting a cab for the quick ride back to Palazzo. Cabs have been quick, convenient and cheap..

The bathroom next to the food court is something to behold...

Our Food Spread. For food court sushi it was delicious...

$10 blackjack at Resorts this morning. Lowest I've seen on the strip in some time. 6:5 obviously...

wrong game. but since i dont play DDB i’m good with it.

what lightweights we are. Bar Luca at Palazzo is not like Cosmo. You cannot cash these out for unopened bottles of wine. So we spread the joy and discreetly gave our excess tickets to less degenerate players…

Checked out of Palazzo into Mandalay Bay Elite King. Nice room, housekeeping attention to detail is somewhat lacking. Found a pair of panties behind the headboard and a used k-cup in the coffee maker. 9F471779-4540-4A34-821B-706DDFD865E5.jpeg 9F512DDE-7DDB-42F6-A0E4-B5C90D3B470C.jpeg 9F471779-4540-4A34-821B-706DDFD865E5.jpeg

Those draft taps in the picture are disappointing. I mean Space Dust is fine, but I had so much damn Space Dust last trip!!! A bunch of casinos offer it now it seems.

    Go get that royal!

Speaking of the Longhorns, with the move to the SEC eventually they will play the Gators, hope your close to Gainesville, we can appoint you as the local Austin representative.

No worries. That would just be weird, I had a hard enough time deciding if I was even going to mention it but it was too Vegas not to.
