    Hi everyone,

This may be a long shot, but maybe someone here can help out. Always worth asking.

Cosmo now has the $2 Dollar booklets again with 50 bills worth a total of $100. They are available for $100 in red and purple at the Cage (as far as I know). My wife and I would love to have one of them in each color, but we are not in town until 3 April. Probably they are not available anymore by then.

Is someone in Vegas at the moment who returns early April and could bring it back to Vegas for us? Mailing is unfortunately not an option as we live in Europe.

Payment would be in cash in Vegas or PayPal.

    Thanks
    MaGu1982

    I've never heard of this!

    Are these meant for tipping?

They have them regularly I think, but always around Chinese New Year. They're really big with the Asian clientele. I've seen people buying staxks odd them to take back home to hand out as gifts.

Also it's a fun way to give tips as so many aren't even familiar with $2 bills. They're basically like a check book where you 'tear' one out as you go.

Just ask for a book of $2 bills at the cage

    @Goldenknight is right...that’s also what I read.

Seems like someone from the German Vegas message board who is in Vegas at the moment can bring them back to Germany. Makes tipping a lot easier and we are all set when we arrive in April.

I'm fascinated with this, but I've never had a desire to use a $2 bill in my life. Hmmm.

Please report back (if you have time). I kind of want one but I know I"d just end up feeding $2 into Buffalo, spin, $2 Buffalo, spin...

For what it's worth, I've heard opposite things on $2 bills -- some people (myself included!) view them as good luck, but I've also heard people say that they're terrible luck.

I don't think they're true tear-outs like a checkbook, because money can only be printed/issued by the government, but I would assume they're basically a nice holder with a bunch of bills inside. If you really just wanted the bills, you could also probably just call over to a bank, I know there's a Citi and a Wells Fargo over by the Hughes center off of Flamingo.

Remember when it was considered insulting to pay with a $2 bill because that's how much hookers cost?

    Yeah, me neither.

I was just up at my local and the CW brought one to the bar and wanted to get rid of it. I bought it from her. I love $2 bills. I tip with them in Vegas when I think about getting them prior to leaving. Most CW I give them too love them and comment that they save them for their kids, presents, etc.

They’re actually bound together on the end - similar to a checkbook. It’s almost like a wax/plastic material on the end that holds them all together.

I’ve got a book of $100 denomination from a few years ago. All of the bills’ serial numbers are in sequential order too.

Ron tried to buy one in early December. The cage told him they are available for Chinese New Year and when they run out, you have to wait until the next year.

Anyone know where we can find more information on these?
