    Please continue to help others and yourself here when it comes to overall health, weight issues, food, recipes, supplements, exercise and the biggest parts of it for me motivation and mental attitude.

    From the bottom of my heart I wish you, my big time DEGENERATE partners in crime, a very happy and healthy NEW YEAR!

    I don't believe in resolutions but I do believe that lifetime change is good. So, why not start on New year's..
    My new start is this... When I think of a family member (immediate or not) who I haven't seen or connected with in many months or years due to just being busy or preoccupied with what life brings, I will somehow communicate with them whether by phone, text or email. This includes friends! You never know when someone's time is up including your own.

    On the weight front, I have maintained at a 22lb loss. Wanted and want to lose 40-50 or so. With Dec being very busy and stressful (all good stuff) with work family and so on I weight loss hasn't been a priority. IT will be again after jan 10 or so.

    I have had a blessed year and appreciate everything especially my Son, health, family, friends (includes you all), job and the roof over my head. Keep this thread going doing and thank you all!

    One last thing, I would be very remiss of me not to mention the he'll and motivation we all have got from @Willie. Thank you willie for all your knowledge, help, kind words, due diligence and commitment to this thread. You are much appreciated and please keep doing what you do. Thank you again my friend from all of us! Hope you come to meet us all end of April in sin city..

    there are 100's of sites that state that we can eat healthy, but if we stress, even a little, our cholesterol numbers are damaged...


    It is always WISE to re-evaluate our situations in life.... These is no substitute for knowledge and wisdom..

    Which is better..... make $300K a year and have low stress and have abundant joy and inner peace and live a quality life to 85,,, or make $1.5K million a year and have stress and not as much joy and peace and have ailments and die at 73?....

    The cemetaries are full of stressed out people, let us not be among them..

    OK,,,,OK,,, back to the grindstone everybody..... we got lots of holiday sugar and sodium to get out of our bodies..... Let's double our water intake for 3 or 4 days and lower our protein intake for 3 or 4 days to flush out all the bad crappola...

    Don't forget your ACV and lemon juice too....

    Thanks for all of the info everyone has provided. I read it all and am attempting to follow many of the suggestions. I like the idea of keeping the threads small and have a suggestion. Maybe at the start of each new thread you could post the links to all of the previous threads. Ok now to start limiting my sugar and salt.

    This is a graph calculator... it is much better than most that are on the internet, especially when we are truthful with the information that we input into it.....

    I know some here don't like parameters or calculators, but it is another tool..... tools help us to complete a job in a correct manner. sometimes we have a job and we need different tools. this is merely a foundational tool, but I have found it accurate in regards to my own journey...

    scroll down a bit in link to add your own numbers.... Take the larger # and then subtract daily caloric input and then divide by 3500 equals calories lost that day,,, x7 for the week,,, x 30 for the month,,,, etc.... it is very accurate...

    ...I took a long walk n did things outside today. It felt wonderful!

    Why are we to lower our protein intake? I just increased mine.. I do need to drink more water.

    My lemons are almost ready. I saw this kind (Meyer) in the store and bought a bag, they're sweeter and juicy.

    I did get some psyllium husk!

    eating about 50% to 60% of recommended protein amounts for 3 to 5 days relaxes the tissues , especially around the stomach-butt-thighs, and when these tissues are then relaxed they are able to release more of the sugar-sodium-toxics- fats-- that had been stored in those tissues.. Increasing water consumption for 3-4 days assists in this removal also at a faster pace..

    Most people need between .34 and .36 grams of protein per lb. of their ideal bodily weight unless they are long distance runners, weight-lifters-etc.. The body takes a while to eliminate "excess" protein as it is more dense, so it can be stored in places that we don't want it and for longer periods of time.......

    YES!!! I'll stop the yo-yo dieting and keep the extra weight off for good. Hopefully I'll attend the Spring Fling and you wont even recognize me ;)

    I will more than likely be staying at Bally's and sitting at the bar at least once during the BLT Happy Hour, I love their Cosmos or maybe it is just the break from the gambling and the less expensive drinks. Anyway, if we all don't meet during one of the scheduled Spring Fling Events maybe we could ensure a small Weight Loss meet ? Anywhere, doesn't have to be BLT, I'm just a cheapskate LOL.

    Welcome to 2017 everyone
    Gained a little but less than 2lb. Still have 6lb off since July-need that next 6lb. Exercised over the Holiday's but need to get back to the 5x per week. I REALLY need to commit to the diet and get some good vitamins (ladies) My friend and I are booked for the Spring Fling and I would totally come to a weight loss group meetup!!
