I've thought in the past that you remind me of someone, this pic did it. Billy Vera a one hit wonder from the seventies. My wife says his hit was on the Family Ties show also. Hopefully you aren't in witness protection lol.

Yes I eat pasta and pie. But if I go all day and only eat dinner, I can have a big slice of pie and a plate of pasta and still be in the low caloric intake for that day. ;) And I think you are beautiful!

Lol I don’t know that’s it’s healthy, but it does work for me. I take a women’s over 40 daily vitamin as well. Anything requiring restraint with me, is destined to fail. It’s why I never leave Vegas a winner. I will eat when I’m really hungry during the day. I don’t starve myself. But if I do, I’m usually not hungry for dinner. So either way I basically eat one meal a day. I get full quite easily too, so I’m not going back for seconds. Good luck and you will find what works for you. Trial and error, just like like everything in life honestly.

UPDATE: Weighed in this morning because I just couldn't stand not knowing.... a day early this week and I am .8 lbs BELOW MY 1st GOAL. YAY. So, to celebrate I hit the gym tonight....lol, just kidding, that's not celebrating! But I did go work out. This weight is the weight I was hoping to hit by mid Feb, so I guess I didn't think it would or could happen. I still need to lose, so now I am trying to figure out what the next goal is. Maybe 10 more lbs??

Dr update: after my annual physical this year, I am VERY happy to say that my triglycerides went from 237 last year to 129 this year glucose 118 vs 97 this year. This was one area of concern for me as being Native American we tend to be in the risk group for diabetes What's weird though is my overall cholesterol is UP, going from 132 last year to 173 this year, still a good number, but?????. Not sure where the weight was last year, but from one point this summer (according to one of the visits...I didn't ever look at the scale when I got on...I got on backward and told them not to tell me how much) I am DOWN about 36 lbs.

Next week will be a week of concern....casino's and beer....ALL WEEK, plus likely a few buffets. Heading to LV on Monday, hee haw

Heather- I don't think this is the diet for me. Granted for dinner and my only meal, I had ZUCCHINI with burnt butter/sage/walnuts as sauce. That was a win! But then I also killed a bottle of wine and a bag of caramel corn in the span of 4 hours. Am I going to look like you if I keep this up?

I am under a great deal of stress with work right now and I don't know that it is a good idea for me to have a 4 hour a day free for all. But if you swear by it, I will continue. I am going to spin in the morning!

In real life, I don't really drink a whole lot. But I am the type of person that is an extremist. I either drink nothing or I drink a whole bottle. I either follow a diet plan like a psycho or I eat like a person that has never seen food. I don't gamble at all or I sit at a table for 47 hours. You get the picture.

I hate that if I skip breakfast I am not hungry at all for the rest of the morning, but when I eat breakfast I'm hungry all morning LOL

Doing good down 8 lb since Thanksgiving just really cranking down the screws on what I am eating during the week and eating only within an 8-hour window during the day has really helped out with the.
Was up to 183 after Thanksgiving. Now back down to 175. If you set your sights on something and stick to it. It is easier then ya think

Ugh, the week after Thanksgiving I found those pounds that you lost. My daughter made a bunch of holiday sweets and I succumbed to the temptation. I still have very regular gym attendance, but I am giving myself a mini food break, within reason. The other day a sub sandwich sounded really good so I had one. Occasionally I have some cookies. I haven't gone overboard, and dont intend to. No donuts, no ice cream, but I intend to enjoy the occasional holiday treat.

I have an upper limit that I am allowing myself for the rest of the year. I am going to finish the year with over a 100lb loss. The peak so far was just over 120lbs, and now I am at 110lbs. After the first of the year I will buckle back down, get into ketosis, and strive for my 3lb a week target and push until I am comfortably below the 300lb mark. I have been diligent for 10 months, and think that I need a break as I was starting to drive myself crazy.

On a plus note, wrestling season has started, and my son's first competition was last week. I hadn't seen the majority of those folks (coaches and parents) since the end of last season, before I started working on myself. It was nice to hear "I didn't recognize you at first" more than once.

It's ok to take a break you have the skills but be sure to get back on board after the holidays. You have come so far to not carry on to the final leg of the goal

Weighed in this morning and down 1.6 from last week without major effort. I knew part of the weight from the previous week was simply water, and that fluctuates quickly with carb intake. As I said, I am still keeping up the regular gym attendance and watching what I eat, but I am relaxing some of my previous restrictions. For instance my parents were out to watch their grandson wrestle at least once this season, before they go to Florida. Took them out to dinner and I ordered the mashed taters as one of my sides instead of two veggies. Then the next morning we met other relatives for breakfast on our way to the tourney and I ate some of the potatoes and one of the slices of toast with my omelet. But I didn't partake of the ritual of grandpa making biscuits and gravy for breakfast the next morning.

I can definitely tell when I have eaten more carbs, they make me feel sluggish at times. I will 'get serious' again after the holidays, but the first couple of days are not fun. Once I get past that part it is pretty easy for me to keep it up. I just dont want to struggle with that now, get through the first part and then get out of it quickly by eating something carb heavy. Sometime before the new year I am going to probably have a pasta dinner once, and a pizza once. But my plan for now is once I buckle down, there will be no more breaks until I get into the 2's.
