Hello fellow fanatics! I finally remembered to do a trip report, even though I would have loved to do a live one I rarely had the time to stop and provide live updates. So here goes and Bear with me because I have a lot:
6/8: I touched down at the airport and was kindly met by my driver from the Cosmopolitan. I rode there in their nice luxury Escalades. It was a little after 11am when I checked into the Autograph Lounge. I was happy to see that my room was ready and I promptly headed up to my room. As usual not enough can be said about the 1 Bedroom Terrace suite with a fountain view. By no means am I a big gambler or whale but I still am surprised that I was able to get that room comped for four nights.
After dropping my bags off in my room I made my way next door to Aria. Long story short I was there with a big group from work as one of our buddies was gonna be in town for his bachelor party, wedding, and honeymoon. Unfortunately the rates were too high at Cosmo so I was able to get thee rooms at Aria. Not a big deal but the first and only trouble I've ever had at Aria was when I tried to check in. One of my buddies wanted to stay in a Tower suite while the other two opted for a standard King room. With that being said I had to go to two separate places, the regular check in for the two standard rooms then I had to walk over and wait in line again to check in to the Tower Suites. Not a big deal but at the time really makes made no sense to me.
I waited and took a nap for a couple hours in one of the Aria rooms before my buddies showed up. After they showed up we grabbed at quick bite at Aria cafe and then headed back to Cosmo where we would spend the rest of our very long night there gambling and alternating drinking at Chandelier, Henry, and Clique. During that time I tried to look for my host but she was off that night. Unfortunately there was no significant winnings aside a decent 460ish from Buffalo Grand during the bonus round and played Free Bet BJ for about an hour and cashed out up a little over 200. But all those winnings were sent right back to the machines before I called it a night.

6/9: As usual I woke up from my vodka induced coma at around 2pm and then headed over to Aria cafe for lunch with the rest of the group.
After chow we headed back over to Cosmo for more gambling and drinks at Chandelier.
A little bit after that I was playing Buffalo Stampede when I got a tap on my shoulder. I finally met my host face to face and talk for a bit. I have nothing but great things to say about KF. Such a friendly and great woman and was there to answer all my questions. I really wished she came by more often because before she departed to head back to her office she rubbed my machine and wished me luck. Sure enough I got a gold coin bonus with a couple of stampedes to send me cashing out about 700 up. I love it when you have a couple missing slots and they come stomping in to fill those holes and give you a nice win!
After more donations to the Buffalo foundation and some free bet blackjack we headed next door to Hyde for some partying and the bachelor party portion of the trip.

6/10: As usual I woke up around 2pm to grab some food with the guys and do some gambling before the wedding.
The wedding was at Viva Las Vegas weddings. This was the first Vegas wedding I went to and it didn't let me down. That place had multiple themes like with the obvious Elvis chapel and what not but my friend had the traditional package getting married so no King and Pink Cadillac lol.
After the wedding we headed back to Cosmo to have a nice dinner at DOCG. And yes that's what I always do if that's what you're thinking.....when I'm with a group I will always push for us to do our drinking and eating at Cosmo so I can rack up those Identity Points by charging it to my room and just collecting the dinner or bar tab from the individuals.
The rest of the night was filled with more Buffalo and Blackjack.
I also pooped into the office to talk to my host as I had a few questions. I know I'm an idiot and it's more like a "rookie" mistake but I decided to finally get the bank information so I can just wire them money in the near future instead of paying an extra 40 bucks in fees just to get a grand from the cage. Also, this is my first host I've ever had so I don't know exactly how to be "tactful" or avoid sounding tasteless but I just kindly asked how my play was. My biggest concern is not playing enough and not receiving any other offers. I was delighted to hear that my level of play was really good and I will have no problem receiving future offers like that one. And also from making small talk I also mentioned I'm still in search of a handbag from Cosmo. She seemed really surprised that I haven't had one yet there and even more surprised with all my years going to Vegas I've only had one. It seriously had me thinking that I just have bad luck and should just abandon slots and play only blackjack on my Vegas trips. It's truly frustrating I'm sorry to say when everyone posts on here of their winnings and it seems like a damn handpay is standard.

6/11: I actually pulled an all nighter and decided to hit up an empty craps table early in the morning to finally busy my craps cherry. I've always wanted to play because that table is always the loudest and looks like fun. My father also tells me "stop being a boring slots and blackjack player". I must say the crew at the table was very helpful and willing to answer all my questions. I did a lot of my reasearch leading up to it so I had a basic understanding. Unfortunately it was beginners worse luck. I was the only one there so I was doing all the throwing and unfortunately I left after 4 rounds losing 125 each. Each round I actually threw for a while but never hit my mark and would eventually crapped out.
I would later return to my room for some sleep and wake up in the later afternoon.
One thing I was really happy about was that one of my lady friends was flying in later that night and I spoke to the host on duty and he was able to use my return airport transportation to pick her up and deliver her to Cosmo.
My lady friend showed up and I then witnessed a crazy example of beginners luck. She's never played a table before so she decided to play three card poker. I gave her 300 from my earlier blackjack winnings so she could buy in and I went back to hunting Buffalo. That Buffalo Gold hunting session was my biggest win of the trip at a little over 700. Had a lot of buffalos with a 3 times multiplier there. After playing a couple other machines I decided to check on my lady friend at three card poker. And omg she was up like a grand. It's even more frustrating when you see a player winning who's betting recklessly and doesn't even know what to do. Pretty much every hand she was asking the dealer what to do or what would he do. I finally walked away when she decided to play showing nothing but a high card of a damn 10 and she still pulled off the win.
I decided to try out the Wonka machine as I never played it before. I must admit it is severely underwhelming. For 6 bucks a spin I expected a decent amount on winnings. I would pull of little 150 to 200 here and there whenever the Oompas would show up and stretch the screen out. I just kept playing till it tapped me out because I really wanted those wheels to stop on a whole screen of wilds.
After that I headed back to try my hand at three card poker. And of course it crushed all the while my lady friend still pulling flushes and straights.
We would call it a night and after that amazing couple of hours at three card poker she cashed out 1300 up. Truly frustrating seeing her on "drunk white girl status" spilling her Chardonnay and chips everywhere on the way to the cage.

6/12: The following morning we checked out and met up with her mother who was staying at the Luxor. I was hoping to turn my luck around there and repeat with a Quick Hit handpay like I did last year but no luck unfortunately. I would return back home to Hawaii later that night.

CONCLUSION: All in all it was a fun trip......however, yet again another LOSING trip. I came back with nothing from my 6k bankroll. Then again the "winnings" I had from a day gambling session got recycled into drinks, meals, and throwing some money to my buddies. If I meet any of you fanatics in Vegas be prepared to have a drunken idiot throwing money at you to come play at a table with me or ordering shots of patron to for the whole group lol.
I'm at least happy with my level of play and the Identity points I earned. From gambling alone I earned about 30k so if my math is correct I like to think I coined in a decent amount.
Can't wait for my next trip in October! Hopefully I'll get a chance to meet some of you fine fanatics there!

Nice report..but damn..with a 6k loss you should try the high limit room and do $100 hit and runs..if you have $1000 or $2000 a day you definitely have a good shot at a handpay on the $5 slots or $1 20-line games (any of the video slots in the HL room)

Thanks Tim. I'll have to hit the HL room next time. The closest I've done to that is just adjusting the Buffalo machine to 5 cent. That's where majority of my loses went to. I would get cocky and try a run at 5 cent and unable to get any similar hits as I had with penny denom.

    Fantastic report!!!
Glad it was a good time but bummer about the loss! I will say I totally have the same experience with the new Wonka, I really want to like it but soooo hard to get something to hit and even when it does it seems to pay low! Grrrr. But nice to see Buffalo putting out some hits, one of my faves!
Seems like you did some decent coin through, do you ever ask the host to check your play at the end of the stay to see if any additional comps are available?

Thank you VegasChic! And yes you would figure the Oompa Bonus round with more lines and half of it being wilds should be at least a little higher. And I am totally a fan of Buffalos now thanks to this group because I never bothered playing it before I read so much about it on here! Unfortunately I forgot to ask if I had any other comps, but I'll definitely have to do it next time! Correct me if I'm wrong but let's say if I asked my host to handle a lot of room charges, would that go against my future offer?

I don't think it's too late- I would give this a try as I think you could get a TON refunded to you on this if they hadn't done it on their own.....

I'd email the host and ask them to review your play for the trip to see if there is anything additional that could be taken off. If there is they should be able to refund your credit card if you already paid the charges. Seriously, you could be leaving tons of money on the table here!!! It will NOT effect future comps at all, they only deduct up to a certain percentage. NOR will your offers get better if you DON'T request the review on the back end of the trip- it literally just disappears!!!

Enjoyed reading your trip report especially since you were staying at the Cosmo. I always check for backend comps before checking out and have been doing this for years now. Usually I'm pretty pleased with the results. Always remember to do this.

Enjoyed reading about your trip. Sounds like one of my trips, lots of fun but losing. We are both due for a winning trip! I'm assuming that the handbag you refer to not getting from Cosmo was a handpay. ;) Is the first name of your host Rebecca? Some of that machine rubbing for luck sounds familiar. :)

Thank you Evoni! And yes my auto correct made it say handbag instead of handpay! Definitely not searching for numerous handbags from the Cosmopolitan. And no her first name is Kristy.

It sounds like a you had a great trip despite the loss. I agree with Tim. Try a few spins in the HL slot room next time. You'll get that handpay next time! I avoid the new Wonka. So many people complain about the payouts. It looks fun but seems to be a money suck! Thanks for the report. I always enjoy reading about cosmo trips. Good luck in October!

It was an entertaining TR to read anyway. I'm stealing "drunk white girl status" spilling her Chardonnay and chips everywhere on the way to the cage." for later use BTW.

Sorry about the loss tho. Agreed on the HL advice going forward with your coin in.
