I've stayed at Mirage in the past a few times, but I'm really not a player in their system. I'm currently Pearl.

I resent the hell out of having to pay for Valet parking ($18 a day, really?!), so I'm going to self park for the first time on the strip in Vegas... EVER. Being alone in a casino parking garage doesn't exactly sound very safe. Am I being paranoid?

I also don't even know where the parking structure is located. Will it be a pain in the ass to drag my luggage to check in?

The host who booked my offer put me in for VIP check in. That's the lounge to the right of the hotel desk, right? I used to be Platinum, but only stayed at Mirage a couple of times while I was, so I'm rusty.

He also put me in for a Tower Deluxe room, but I can't find anything about that on their web site. I know it's just a little bit larger than the regular rooms and is on the 24 & 25th floors. Can anyone tell me if those rooms have a refrigerator?

One last question: I wasn't playing slots at all the last times I've been there, so I have no clue if they have good/up-to-date slots on the floor. Can anyone tell me what to expect? I'm not looking for high limit. I don't want to generate future offers that I can't refuse, so I need to keep the play small.

Thanks in advance for any help!

I can't help you with the car issues, we are just going to Uber because of this parking rigamarole, but I can tell you Mirage has a lot of the newer games on the floor. Twin Spin QH, Lightning Links and Buffalo Grand all treated me decent in September. Of course, I went there to sit in the low ceiling area and play all the old stuff lol.

    Where's the low ceiling area?

When you enter the main doors, hang an immediate left and stay along that wall. Emergency doors, old machines and low ceilings. And it used to be right where the Clue machine was. Sigh...

Their parking garage is a little weird to find the first time, but they do have signs directing you to it. It is well lit and doesn't feel sketchy at all. You take the elevator to the bridge level 4 and go across and then inside, go down an escalator. But I would suggest if you do have luggage, just go down to street level and cross into the building there. The last time I was there, the VIP check-in was just a special line, marked by a sign, it wasn't inside the lounge.
I think they have a decent selection of machines, plenty of choices to take my money... but there have been times they don't have a machine that I wanted to play. They are a smaller property, but that's actually one of the things I really like there.

We stay at Mirage often. Can't help with the parking but I sure would discuss it with my host. Maybe they can do something. The rooms are nice but unless you have a suite, I don't remember a refrigerator. I have heard that some hotels send one up if you have a need. As for the machines, they are tight, but fun. Mixed of new and older. Have fun.

Oh ya.. about the refrigerator. I believe that the one in the rooms is only for their stocked items. I'm not sure if you are able to put your own things in it.

Mirage parking is one of the closest parking-to-lobby you can get on the strip. If you are coming from the 15, exit off onto Spring Mountain, towards the strip. Then turn right, onto the street behind TI. That will take you pretty much right to Mirage's parking structure. If you are coming from the Strip, just turn into Mirage and follow the signs.

Correct the tower deluxe rooms don't have their own fridges - just the minibar one.

I enjoy those rooms though. Much less cramped than the normal room especially in regards to the bathroom space

I should at least ask if you can use Express Comps for the stupid Valet parking fees. I'm still pissed that these places have the balls to charge those fees!

Thanks. Hate to hear they're tight, but I am going to be low playing this trip, so hopefully if it's a losing trip it won't be a bad one.

Thanks. Good to know for sure. I'll have to ask for one at check in.

Perfect - thanks! I'll definitely get off at Spring Mountain. We have gone in that way before (husband driving), but I never paid attention to the self parking structure.

Thanks. I'm happy to hear about the bathroom. Mirage has some of the smallest on the strip in their regular rooms.

Thank you all for the info. Much appreciated!

If you ask for a fridge at checkin, there is a good chance it will get billed to your room. When I am in a room that doesn't have a fridge, I always call housekeeping when I get to the room. I don't recall ever having to pay for a fridge that way. Same goes for rollaways and microwaves.

Yeah 15 to spring mountain then turn right on Mel Tormé and you're into the Mirage/TI parking garages. I think they are some of the more convenient ones in Vegas.

Are we long lost sisters? I love that little backwater at The Mirage - but I think you and I may be the only ones. I sat there for hours last trip with bottomless coffee & baileys playing an ancient 3-reel quarter machine with a "mystery reel nudge". Lol. Also played milk money, Russian riches, and many more obscure titles. It's like a freakin' buffet of retro machines. Love it!

@justmare, I can't help with parking, but I will confirm the slot selection was pretty good with newer games. Small high limit room, but there are a lot of multi-denom machines on the floor. Slot attendants are super friendly & helpful if you can't find what you want. Good luck!

My name does start with T...

I like it along that wall and then way towards the back where they had the piggy bank progressive row and my beloved Ultra Stack Pandas. (love watching those fat babies hop around when you get the bonus) While I didn't walk away with any extra, I held my own and got a lot of play. I think they are the best MLife property for me when it comes to cycling coinage.

The wife and I sat at Bar 46 for two hours once drinking Bloody Marys and watching people play that Panda game.

    Much fun!

Justmare, not trying to hijack thread but are you out there the same time I am? Would love to meet up. I am 4/5-4/11 at Cosmo but since I am out there for a conference, we will be down at Mirage/TI/Venetian area a lot.

Oh and I forgot about my best hits at Mirage. Lightning Links. Played them everywhere and hit nothing major except there. $2.50 bet netted $970.

And to prove what a degen I am, is there anything on the other side of the plants? Like, is there a whole casino I missed? LOL I remember coming in the doors and heading left into the casino and working my way around but I am pretty sure I didn't wander past that side.

I'm not there that early in April. Bummer! Would love to meet up, too. Current trips are March 10 & 11 at Mirage, March 24, 25, 26 at Cosmo, Tropicana, and Cromwell, and April 29, 30 & May 1 at Cosmo and Caesars Palace. I also have the 7 Stars Signature Event booked at Caesars Palace in August (24 - 28), but not sure if I'll be keeping that rezzie or not.

Nice hit on Lightning Links! I haven't played that one yet, but have watched a little. I have to try it sometime.

That's funny. You've only seen that section and I've NEVER seen that section. lol
