A month of Craps in Las Vegas

    7,265 miles to Vegas. Flying Wednesday. Getting ready.

    Just realized. I haven't won in Las Vegas for nearly 10 years. That streak changes this trip.

    I promise myself that I'll have control !! At 25 nights, I need to believe that I can walk away from the tables when I need to.

    I promise not to go on Tilt.

    I promise not to play hours and hours just in the belief that I'm earning free money on comps.

    I promise to be a good boy.

    I promise to exercise continuously throughout the trip, and continue my diet of no white carbs and no sugar.

    So, the first ten days will be mostly family orientated. The week after that will be totally gaming degenerate. Then it's the NAB show where I'll need to work (yeah, right...), and the end of the trip will culminate in events that this Forum
    has organized in the guise of Spring Fling !!

    I'll need to break up things to do during the month as I simply cannot stand at a craps table for 12 hours a day x 25 days. That would be utter madness.

    My trip report will be more detailed on the gaming. I know I like to read how people's sessions actually go and how they pull it off, or how they go on tilt...

    There's going to be so many TRs flying around this month anyway, I'm sure that there will be loads of social postings from others.

    I'm 15 hours ahead of Las Vegas, and preparing for jet lag...flying out in 51 hours.

    Good question!

    Either;
    I am stupid,
    OR
    I am bored,
    But perhaps,
    I have the NAB convention to attend and it falls a week after Easter, and school holidays means that my daughter is now on holiday until Easter Sunday. Having chosen Vegas as a family holiday for a few days (with relatives also coming out from England), it makes no sense for me to fly back to Hong Kong for a few days before having to fly over again.
    And maybe,
    I fucking love Craps in Vegas.
    And most definitely,
    I am a degenerate.

    It's probably all of the above.

    Natedog, I've been recently flying to Taipei, only to take Cathay flights long haul because it's less than half the price to fly business class from Taipei than it is Hong Kong. The crazy thing is that the flight still goes through HK, so it's exactly the same plane!

    I think that wrapping personal travel around required business travel is very smart - I used to do it all the time in a previous job. If nothing else, it serves to reduce the wear-and-tear effect that longhaul flying can put your body (and health) through.

    Good luck! I enjoyed playing crap last year. Wish I would have realized it was you at DTG. But at Monte it was all good. Doubt I'll make it out in April unless there's a crazy Spirit Airlines sale.

    I have never been to Asia, but would love to. I think the photos of the casinos are amazing and wish I could do it! Someday! I would love 25 days in Las Vegas! I'd need to stay with my local friends though. I'm excited to follow your adventure as I have a really good feeling April is going to be lucky for a lot of us! Discipline will be essential to maintain bank or wins over that many days, but I have faith you can pull it off! Look forward to meeting you at the end of the month and still coming to No Confusion at the Fusion on 4/27? If not make sure you stop at Fusion Bar at Palazzo during the day and ask Wendy to make you a Key Lime Pie martini! They are fabulous! ;) Safe travels and much luck!
