Active shooter inside Bellagio & Cosmo Bus shooting- Live

Yeah.. between this and my terrible experience at cosmo last week.. I am pretty done Vegas for a while. I am always at that bus stop. nope nope nope. Crappy is bad enough. Crappy and scary.. no way!!!

 

This entire thing has been nuts. I'm just glad everyone on here made it out relatively OK.

How long into the ordeal did they use the flash bang? We were evacuating the floor somewhat calmly until someone got spooked by something and chaos broke out and everyone sprinted. According to my TITO I cashed out at 11:06. And when I got to near Vesper shit went crazy. And being on the casino floor we didn't know what was going on and I'm not going to stick around to see what people were running for and got the heck out. Gf theorized that maybe the people coming from Henry and/bond area were running and panicked since they were super close to the entrance by the bus stop.

Security was handling it well at first. Calm but firm to get us removed from the sports book. And it looked as parts of casino were cleared security was blocking the area with chairs and stuff.

After about an hour and we collected ourselves and got some water things were fine. Did kill my gambling bug for the trip. Then it was just stressful not knowing when/if we could go back to Cosmo and about our bags that were at the bell desk. I got in touch via twitter DM but I will call or email tomorrow. They said they'd be able to ship my bags to me. There wouldn't have been time for us to get our bags out of storage and then get a cab/uber to make our flight. They guys stuck in the rooms were "lucky".

My God daughter came in for the weekend and was dying to try Eggslut. We got caught in the lock down. We made it out the back and found our way to Arial where a $20 tip to the doorman got us a cab.....out the back and back home to the Trop....will do a write up when we get home..

There was a pretty good sized crowd at the escalator to the MC, there was some panic when some idiot from Bellagio security announced the tram was shut down due to an active shooter. That was when I decided we would head out the back.

We eventually walked over to Monte Carlo as well when we saw the huge taxi line at aria. We waited maybe 5 minutes at Monte. The lady running that snack kiosk in between aria and MC only said the tram was closed. Luckily she didn't say anything to panic the people right there.

Crazy weekend! We were at crystals right when everything went down at cosmo Saturday. Got out on the sky bridge to the south and diverted back to aria then just walked back to MGM thru MC. Security was telling everyone to get inside a building, not much panic though. Whole strip was shut down while we were out walking back. Our original plan was to keep walking, glad we detoured to shop a little at crystals.

 

Serious insanity this weekend. I followed a lot of this live, too, and I'm just glad things for folks here and mostly elsewhere worked out. Horrible tragedy with the shooter. Senseless nonsense all around. Be well, my friends.

Says he's only 20 years old. Can't even buy an adult beverage, yet thinks that robbing a Rolex store is OK. Priorities kids, priorities.....

I was one of the first back on the gaming floor at Cosmo when they reopened it. THAT was eery. Not one person playing and music was off. It was cool that I could play any game I wanted to
