Supplements are at best a 5% portion of the equation. Food and exercise are the other 95%. If what you are doing is sustainable and affordable, then by all means maintain the course! Could you achieve largely the same results using only the protein powder, fruits and flax seed oil? Sure most likely. All double blinded studies say as much. It is a normal course of human behavior to make radical changes when pursuing a new endeavor. The key is to set yourself up to continue these habits for years. This is not a "diet". This is just the way you must eat in order to properly fuel your body and for the best long term outlook in regard to weight related health issues. It is at its simplest level a change in the way you think about food.

The important distinction is between actively losing weight (as in I have more than 10 lbs to go) and maintaining your target weight once you arrive there. For the loss portion simplistic thinking like "sugar is bad" and total avoidance are fine. What you will find when you reach a goal weight (which I would strongly argue should be determined by the mirror NOT the scale) is that in order to maintain your weight you need a bigger bump in calories than you think. If you continue to stay largely to lean meats and vegetables and avoid fried and processed foods then you will have to eat quite a bit to tread water, and if you exercise any substantial amount you will have to eat a LOT.

Therefor once you are at a good place in your journey the "XXXXX is bad" thinking is no longer needed. You must re-establish a proper relationship with food. The easiest way to do this is to eat "clean" about 80% of time. Take two meals a week and eat what you want. Not a whole pizza and a pint of ice cream but a reasonable meal. You will find burgers and pizza fill you up quickly when you are eating them once or twice a week. And you will find after you eat them that one time you will have scratched the itch and you won't want them for a few days. Food is not the enemy. Food is a necessary fuel for the body, and food is good. To deprive yourself of anything you enjoy in your diet assures long term failure. Moderation in all things!

Yes Boogaloobboy we are on the same page. That's my plan. As soon as I hit my target weight or before I will be eating "normal meals" with moderation and health in mind. Nothing wrong with eating anything (within reason) in moderation. Must exercise the body and mind as well. That's my goal and like other things in my life with some discipline, focus and a little help the goal will be achieved for the rest of my life. Hopefully... Ty..

With my plan I am switching to adapt phase where they get you on more foods to try to maintain your weight once you lose it

I don't know how I forgot, but I quit smoking the day I left Vegas. So, that was a big part of what was going on there

There are two things I could never give up and that's Cheese and Potatoes. Is there a cheese and potato only diet as I'd rock that one! Lol Hope Willie is enjoying a nice steak with some creamed spinach and a glass of wine in Vegas. Hopefully laughing and winning too!
