American Gaming Association Hall of Fame Nominations

    The Nomination Process is Open

    If you take a look at who is in the HOF it's a travesty. Celine Dion has been inducted but Doyle Brunson and Bob Dancer are not. Donald Trump is a member for Chrissakes and all he did was lose money in the most money-making business out there. (Not a political observation)

    I've nominated both Doyle and Bob Dancer. Phil Helmuth would be a good entrant as well. And Amarillo Slim (whose exclusion is a travesty).

    I could go on and on but I'll leave it at this: Frank Sinatra was inducted but Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. are not.

    Very interesting. I guess I don't understand what
    qualifies you for Gaming Hall of Fame in this because
    it looks like a lot of chefs, entertainers, etc. Few actual
    people in the actual gaming industry. Contrary to say - the Poker
    Hall of Fame - where they are all actual Poker Players. I agree
    with Nick totally - This seems like a very strange list.

    Elaine Wynn got in 7 years before Steve? Don't think Amarillo will ever get in. He's tainted (guilty or not).

    Many of these hall of fames are scams. Howard Stern was once talking about man industry hall of fames are run by an individual or some organization that is dependent on industry revenue so the process is corrupted. He mentioned that he was not in the radio hall of fame which is run out of some guy's house.

    Yup. What a unbelievable character. Think there was going to be a biopic about him a few years back starring Nicolas Cage, don't know if it ever got made.
